October 11, 2011Loyal witnesses: Truth be told I've been on a very long hiatus from my career pursuits as an artist. I've been focusing on building my own law firm, making things official with my wifey, taking care of my family back in Chicago, and just generally living life. I love music and law, so I do both. I've always enjoyed and valued understanding the BUSINESS of the music business. Taking on all of these other ventures does not mean that I haven't made any music...that'll NEVER stop! I've just slowed down a bit and have completely stopped promoting it. It has been a crucial phase for me to go through in order to gain some renewed inspiration and passion for my artistry. The material I'm about to create now will BLOW YOUR MIND and make u thank me for the wait. Currently, I am working closely with Layzie Bone as his new label Harmony Howse Entertainment as we roll out a serious industry takeover plan for 2012. Most recently, Cyrano just arrived in Chicago from Cleveland after driving a tour bus to Cleveland from Los Angeles! with the Bone Thugs ~n~ Harmony family. They traveled there for a great show on March 5th that Cyrano hosted for Bone Thugs ~n~ Harmony and Ta Smallz where they performed old and new songs and where models were put on the catwalk to show off the new clothing lines ocreated by Layzie Bone and Ta Smallz called Howse Apparel and Lifeline.After the performance/fashion show, Cyrano rocked the mic at an afterparty in downtown Cleveland. People were exposed to some of the new material from his upcoming Speed Ballin' 2010 mixtape, and it was very well-recieved.Later in the week, Cyrano hit the studio with Layzie and Mo Thugs Family members to record a solid new song tentatively titled "You, Me, Us".Stay tuned!p.s. To be regarded as a Chicago hip-hop master like Cyrano, Esq. you must first live through the renown chilly winds that blow like a hawk over Lake Michigan. A true Chicago rap virtuoso should appreciate the challenge of basic survival in a city that has no room for the soft and fuzzy. Rich in storied traditions, Chicago has unique qualities that have forged some of the most creative and progressive musical talents in history (see Kanye West, Herbie Hancock, Common, Art Porter, Twista, Malik Yusef, R. Kelly, Quincy Jones, Nat King Cole, Lupe Fiasco, Billy Corgan, etc). Cyrano, Esq. is the latest and greatest young Chicagoan to bless the mic. This MC has a distinctive voice that stretches from delicate poetics of intimate interaction to the world domination roar of social injustice, Cyrano is a virtual hip-hop trinity -- manifested as three unique personalities: Cyrano Bleu, Cyrano Blaq, and Cyrano Red. Cyrano Bleu (French spelling) is melancholy and reserved with a laid-back jazzy feel appeal, eternally romantic and always lost in love.
