Welcome to Center Stage Dance Studio

We offer classes in tap, ballet, jazz, modern, hip-hop, gymnastics and pointe. We offer classes for students ages 2-adult. If you'd like to join us please call us at the number listed above or email us at JennaStLaurent1_yahoo.com .

Other disciplines, such as ballroom and adult cardio will be offered based on participation, please call for more information and details.

The Studio Our MissionCenter Stage is fun and dynamic studio, where our students learn to appreciate and value dance. It is where they can develop skills they will use throughout their lives such as social skills, team work, self-esteem, discipline and confidence.Dance is a vehicle that can create a sense of achievement, pride and accomplishment in our students. Center Stage is committed to upholding those strength while providing our students with professional skills and technique, current dance trends and creative choreography.Center Stage is a dance studio where students will make life long friends and where we encourage our students to continue on with dance whether it be a career or hobby. Center Stage is involved in several different activities throughout the year such as local parades, attend specialized classes in various places such as New York City, Boston and New Jersey, various local charity events, and our annual recital where the students can showcase their talents to their family and friends.We strive to be the best place for students to learn and grow.We want all of our students to have FUN and LOVE to dance as much as we do.
Instructors Jenna St. Laurent, Owner/DirectorHello! My name is Jenna St. Laurent, owner/director of Center Stage Dance Studio I am a graduate of Dean College with a degree in Dance through the department of Arts and Sciences. Dean College is one the most revered schools for dance in the country. While at Dean College I studied disciplines such as Modern, Ballet, Hip Hop and Tap. I was also a part of the Dance Team and Dance Company while attending school at Dean College. I have been dancing for over 24 years and I am experienced in teaching students from the ages 2-adult. I was on the dance squad at Tiverton High School, where I was part of award winning performances in Busch Gardens in Virginia and Disney World in Florida along with several other competitions throughout the country. I went on to become the captain during my Junior year and coach of the dance squad after I graduated high school. I have also has had roles in performances such as the Nutcracker with Spindle City Ballet, performed during half time for the Boston Celtics, danced in a fundraiser for the American Heart Association, participated in a benefit the Veterans Memorial Theater for families that lost loved ones on 9/11. I have taken several Master classes in New York City, Boston, Providence and New Jersey. I have taken several classes at Broadway Dance Center in NYC to keep current on trends and choreography. I have attended several dance work shops where internationally recognized dancers and choreographers taught such as Mike Minnery, Sascha Radetsky, J.T. Jenkins and Kenny Wormald. More recently, Center Stage has attended the East Coast Edge Dance Conventions and have had the pleasure of dancing with choreographers such as CJ Tyson, Jaimie Goodwin, Teddy Tedholm, Kyle Preiser, Terrence Taps and Chaz Walcot. Center Stage has also hosted different styles and master classes such as belly dancing and musical theater.I have taught and choreographed at different dance studios locally before becoming the owner/director of CSDS. Since becoming the owner of CSDS I have involved the studio in several activities and events such as the Somerset Music Town Parade, Fall Rivers Christmas Parade, performed at and participated in the Memory Walk for Alzheimers in Newport, performed at Heather Wood Nursing Home on various occasions for the residence, performed in the dance showcase at Fall River Celebrates America, brought a group of students to New Jersey for dance conventions, and annually has recitals to showcase my students talent.

General Info Registration Agreement 2011/2012A yearly non-refundable registration fee of $15.00 is required from all students. No registration will be accepted without payment. Due to class demand we must have first month non-refundable tuition in order to reserve a spot.Your yearly tuition can be paid in full at the beginning of the year. Our schedule is based on a monthly tuition regardless of studio closings (vacations, holidays, snow days etc.) Monthly payments are due the first week of each month for the upcoming month. Payments made after the 10th of each month will include a $10.00 late charge. A $20.00 bank fee will be charged for all returned checks, and afterwards only cash will be accepted.Make up classes are available upon request for any missed class time.Parents may observe class the last week of each month ONLY.Our dress code is mandatory to all students and needs to be followed at all times:~Black or Pink leotards or unitards of any style~Ballet Tights~Black or Pink ballet skirts or dance shorts~NO SHIRTS PLEASE~Hair must be tied up, with bangs tied back(ages 2 through 8 wear pink ballet shoes, black princess tie taps, white gym shoes, and black jazz shoes (selected classes only). Older students need all pink split sole ballet shoes and the style tap and jazz shoes assigned to you class)NO GUM CHEWING IN THE DANCE STUDIONo food or drink in the dance roomNo street shoes on the dance floorSeptember through June is full tuition regardless of when the recital is.Classes will begin on September 10th. The studio will follow the same vacation schedule as Somerset High. We will be closed the same dates.~Vacation dates TBACostume prices are as follows:~Child sizes Small & Medium -$55.00 per costume ~Child size Large ~ $65.00 per costume~Adult sizes- Small, Medium, & Large -$65.00 per costume~ Adult sizes- Extra Large & up - $70.00***Alterations will be a separate charge if costumes needs minor adjustments***All Costumes are to be Paid in full By December 10thRecital participation is NOT mandatory obligation. Please make certain that you can commit to ALL rehearsals and recitals prior to signing the recital agreement. Costumes will not be ordered after February 1st. Any Costumes ordered after December 10th will be charged a $20.00 late/shipping fee.Center Stage is not to be held liable for any injuries obtained from participation in this activity.Center Stage is not to be held liable for any lost, damaged or stolen items.
