Our Purpose

The purpose of the Band of Brothers: CHOSEN, Men's Ministry is to offer the brotherhood of Christ to men fighting to move from success to meaning, addictions to freedom, and selfishness to God's call.

Our Covenant with God is:

(1) to become a follower and brother of Christno matter the cost;

(2) to engage in the battle with other like-hearted men in authentic, secret-less relationships. We believe in the power of the sword - the living word of God - to guide us in the battles ahead and,

(3) to provide fellowship opportunities so that we know those that labour together with us.

Mission & Vision

Mission:

To establish a Men's group of undeniable strength & effectiveness; to create and support adjunct ministries for outreach & personal growth; "Battle Cry" Men's Conference; "Armed & Ready" - Developmental Practices for Young Men; "Iron Sharpens Iron" - Counsel & Fellowship with those of like-calling and accountability; to establish a commitment/identification system to that we can challendge ourselves to grow & know those that labor amoung us: "5 Ranks of Commitment"; "The Name Change"; to establish a network of Men's Ministries around the State - reaching the nation of like faith & purpose - satellite branches; to develop & execute Statewide events & Media to link men of the Body of Christ; to build & maintain a monument to Christian manhood; to accerlerate the Body of Christ & the fulfillment of the 5-fold mandate; - Evangelism: to lead people into a personal relationship with Christ; Edification: to develop believers as dedicated disciples of Christ; Equipping: to train believers as effective ministers; Encouragment: to minister the healing power of Christ; Excellence: to bring Glory to God.

Vision:

To see Men in the Body of Christ have undeniable manifestation of purpose and Kingdom Power through personal strength in COURAGE, OBEDIENCE, RESPECT and ENCOURAGEMENT.

To build a network of men's ministries; building character, relationshipss, families, local churches and ever-increasing dominion of Kingdom resources.

10 Principles of Commitment

1. To build enduring & Christain families by being examples of love, headship, pattern, provision & purpose.

2. To be a driving force behind the five-fold mandate of teh church.

3. To destroy racial & economical barriers with quality relationships, such that we model the unity that God desires in the body of Christ.

4. To live lives of diligence based on biblical principles.

5. To learn from others & each other such that we can inherit all of the promises of God.

6. To be visible inspiring models of service to teh vision & leadership of the church.

7. To be knowledgeable of the Word of God, such that we can live successful lives based on its principles.

8. To be aggressive men of faith, systematically pursuing the promises of God.

9. To walk in the wisdom of God such that we can act in that wisdom in personal as well as corporate crisis situations, producing constant victory.

10. To command the attention & respect of the world through our character, service & substance such that men come to repentance.

I will show respect to all, especially toward women. i will have and gain the respect of others through ever-increasing personal ability, enabled by the grace and principles of God's Word. I am a man of Encouragement. I will support, comfort and empower. God's favor in on me to show favor to my brothers. I am a soldier in God's army. I am part of The Few and The Elite possessing the skills, authority and C.O.R.E. values of CHOSEN. I am a man on a missino to enlist men into "The Call to Honor."

C.O.R.E.

Courage - Strength, Bravery, Boldness, Valor - Joshua 1:7

The boldness to face life and the pursuit of destiny with a steadfast confidence in God and His Word.

Obedience - Submission, Observance, Humble - Joshua 1:8

To live our lives based on the Word of God and when the opportunity of a "God Said" arises, haev the faith and the confidence to step out.

Respect - Admire, Valuable, Acceptable, Honorable - Joshua 1:6

To have and gain the respect of others through ever-increasing personal ability, enabled by the grace and principles of God's Word.

Encouragement - Support, Comfort, Power, Favor - Eccl. 4:9-10

To be men of compassion, full of the Word of God so that when one man is down, he can strengthen him.

The Crossing is . . .

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

All men 16 years and up.

WHERE & WHEN DOES THE CROSSING TAKE PLACE?

The 3rd Sunday of August each year at the Lilly residence.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

Change of clothes & snacks. Towels with the Crossing emblem can be purchased that day. Cost: TBA.

WHY SHOULD I PARTICIPATE?

This experience is a time of submission to God and His Word.

Your I.R.O.N. Man Challenge, should you dare to pursue, will inspire you to find your motivation in becoming more like the ONE who is the true I.R.O.N. Man! JESUS!

Proverbs 27:17 AMP Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend [to show rage or worthy purpose].

Please select an attribute that you would like to develop in Section A from each of the letters represented in the word I.R.O.N. and then choose (3) categories from Section B; then proceed to Section C. Thus, you will have four (4) attributes and three (3) categories that you will be carrying onto Section C.
