Chester Schools Football Association aims:
" To provide young people of all ages and abilities with high quality football experiences"
We achieve this by organizing inter school football competitions for boys and girls from year 1 to
13 in 5,7 & 11-a-side form, on grass, on all-weather surfaces and indoors.
We also run representative teams at Primary (Under 10 &11), Under 14 & Under 15 age groups.
Playing for a CSFA team is a tremendous honour. Players are chosen because they are the best
footballers from the 10 Chester secondary's or 53 primary schools. The players chosen are
follwing in the shoes of many very talented footballers. A large number have gone on to represent
Cheshire. Some have progressed right up to England Schoolboy/ girls level with Under 15, 16, 17
or 18 teams.
Our most famous player is Danny Murphy, now of Fulham FC. He attended Kingsway High School
(recently closed) and played for both the Chester Schools FA Under 14 & Under 15 teams from
1990 to 1992. He played for England Schools at Under 15 the played for England Under 20's, 21's
and the senior England team from 2001 to 2003.
All schools are committed to upholding the highest standards of schools' football
where fair play and respect for opponents are the first priority.
