A Brief History Of Crossroads Rescue Mission
We started with just a few men and a dilapidated school building. In the first few months, our curriculum consisted of a devotional booklet and the Bible. We have developed over the last eleven years to where we offer a ninety day introductory course in which we teach the basics of Christian life. Upon completion of this initial phase of our program, the resident can pursue employment opportunities or further their education. But what we really encourage, and many men elect to, is our six month Sons of God Program.
Taught by Pastors with various degrees in Theology, the Sons of God Program is designed to introduce our residents to the same type of learning they would receive at a first year of Bible College. Such subjects as Old and New Testament Survey, Hermeneutics, Homiletics, and The Cannon of the Bible are presented to give these residents the foundation in the Christian principles we know will lead them to successful reintegration to our community as productive, upstanding citizens.
In a time where governmental agencies that were providing these types of services have scaled back or shut down, we continue to serve this underserved population. As private providers require substantial co- pays and insurance coverage, we invite those who are in need of help and hope to come to us without cost to them or any expectation of payment. We always want to be able to provide a way of salvation for those who through the very nature of addiction are left emotionally, spiritually and physically bankrupt; and this we can do, with your help.

Construction and Remodelling continue at Crossroads
We are continuing upgrades all around the Mission. Faith Baptist Church of Chelsea Michigan came down this summer and did an amazing work of dividing our old chapel space into a new suite of offices. These offices house our mens program services, such as the supervisors office, our phone room and quiet private space for counselling. We will also have space to accomodate new resident admissions and monitored internet access for our residents job search and educational puroposes.
New roofing has been installed on the section of the building where our Sons of God Wing will be housed. This space will house expaned dormitory space for our six month program, as well as new restrooms, showers and classrooms. With the upgrades to this section of our campous we will be able to house an additional 20 residents at any given time, expanding the ministry of presenting the Gospel of Jesus Christ to men as The Way to overcome sin and addiction in their lives.
