The Crimson Cog
The Crimson Cog are a historical enactment group based around the Hanseatic League during the European Middle Ages of 1250-1300. The Hanseatic League was an association of merchants trading mainly via shipping routes through the North Sea and the Baltic Sea. It was established at around 1150 in order to combine economical interests and work in an organisational structure that would increase the safety as well as the power and wealth of the participating merchants. The setting for the Crimson Cog is based in Lübeck a quaint but once very important city in North Germany.
