About Us A visit to Art Trading Schmidt & Green allows you to see Art from the last five centuries. The business is located in the former village school of Herbringhausen which stands in a beautiful green belt area. Dusseldorf, Cologne and the Ruhr are only 40 minutes away. The founder Lutz Schmidt has been an art trader since 1972 when he finished his studies. In 1993 he married his English wife Marianne (maiden name Green). The result is a business partnership under the name "Schmidt & Green". Marianne finds the Classical Modern (Chagall, Miro, Max Ernst, Braque, Picasso, F.Leger, Tapies, Dali etc.) more to her taste so a fresh wind blows through the house. During 1999 and 2000 the house was generously extended and renovated and now allows customers to look at all the art we have to offer. Our framing workshop has also been extended and our speciality of handmade Gold Leaf Frames is to be admired.. During the last 30 years we have participated at National and International Art Fairs. Our customers are Collectors, Museums, Interior Designers, Foreign Offices etc. It is not uninteresting to visit Schmidt & Green on the Internet or by a personal appointment.
