Cover, LLC was founded in 2002. The Philadelphia-based firm explores and synthesizes design and construction as an alternative to conventional architectural practice. The company does three types of work:
· Design/build architecture
· Traditional architectural services (with/out direct construction involvement)
· Design and fabrication of custom stairs and other commissioned building components
Cover LLC is a collaboration between artists, architects and investors, the near term goal is to provide innovative, energy efficient space for artists, artist in residence, light manufacturing, as well as designer space. The firm values include environmentally conscious design, a focus on energy efficiency, and thoughtful reuse of existing city architecture.
