Courtney Reese is a 25 year old aspiring author. A writer of several genres of fiction, she writes Paranormal Romance and Contemporary Romance, as well as Urban Fantasy and Young Adult novels.
Currently she is working on the first book in a Paranormal Romance Series where her characters strive to make a life for themselves in a world where war is as much a part of life as breathing, where fighting for what's right can get you killed, and where love seems all but impossible. With a plot that will have you reeling and characters to die for, this author promises to have you at the edge of your seat while you read her page-turning sensation.
A glutton for punishment, Ms. Reese is also undertaking two other series. Still in the early stages, she’s working on an Urban Fantasy Series where good and evil battle for dominance in a world where right and wrong aren’t always what they seem. When vampires emerge from the shadows, human lives become the pawns in a war of wills.
Her third project, a Young Adult series, features two sisters struggling to deal with the loss of their mother and the secrets that drive them from the world they know into a world they have only imagined. Friendships will be forged and bonds will be broken in a tale that shows that families aren’t always born in blood. In a world full of questions, the sisters learn that the truth they've been searching for is buried under a mountain of lies.

I'm engaged to the love of my life--Josh--a truly remarkable man. I thank God everyday for bringing us together. I honestly don't know how I managed without him. I'm also the proud mother to my one year old cat named Simon.
Writing is my passion; research is my hobby. I prefer dogs over cats (except for my cat of course), Dr. Pepper over anything else, being cold over being hot, Christmas over Thanksgiving, MSN over AIM, the beach over the mountains, nighttime over daytime, spending over saving....
I love sarcasm, retarded jokes, stupid movies that never make it into theaters, nice smelling men, & forwardness. Ambition is a good thing, goals are meant to be achieved, silence should never be awkward, jealousy is a turn-on, and every day is worth living...most of the time ;)

Work in Progress is a blog that I made to document my journey through novel writing. Blogging is new to me, as is the idea of having my thought processes available during the writing process, instead of just at the very end.
