ABOUT ME
About me
Piper and instrument maker from Brisbane Australia, I have been piping since 1998 inbands such as the grade 1 Queensland Highlanders, Temuka and Invercargill.In 2003 my interest in bagpipes of the Balkan region was sparked. I began with the Macedonian Gajda and then moved to the Bulgarian Kaba Gaida. In the quest forthe perfect instument I could not find anythat suited my needs. So i began making...I have studied pipe making in Bulgaria,Hungary and also here in Australia andhave been making Balkan folk instruments since 2006. My attention though has now shifted to highland pipes and my quest nowis to produce a world class sound for thosewho can not afford a vintage pipe.

Let me make your own custom pipes. Choose the timber, mountings, combing etc as well as choice of sound- choose from 1890's Duncan Macdougall, 1920's Henderson, 1900's Lawrie and of course my own Dale bore.

A full repair, refurbishment and retro-fit service is available. From a cracked blowpipe or broken tuning pin to a re surfacing and cleaning. Also re hemping, tie-in and tuning service.
