IR photography for me represents the Holy Grail of photography, digital , film or otherwise they depict a world that we live in ... However we can not see. Robert Wood discovered the effect while mixing chemicals on glass plates in the early 1900's noticing that certain chemical film emmulsions would cause the foliage in his shots to glow white. Over time he developed the first methodology behind capturing this world of IR .. Somewhere in between the living ..
and the dead.
this is one of my favorite formats of photographic arts and I add to the collection weekly. Despite Infrared formats beginnings in the early part of the latter century ... It remains an experimental method.
