It is with considerable pride and joy that I announce the birth of Kitten Diaries … a book for cat lovers of all ages. Kitten Diaries contains two stories about two different kittens in two vastly different situations.
The first, 'Chanel's Story,' is about an ugly shelter kitten who gives herself no chance at being adopted. After many disappointments, she discovers that there are people willing to look beyond fur deep. Chanel's poignant and amusing story shines a well deserved spotlight on animal shelter adoptions and the importance of responsible pet ownership.
Beyond the timely message of overflowing shelters, 'Chanel's Story' is, at the heart of it, about the blessing of acceptance. Not just a human's acceptance and love for a cat; but also a cat's special love for the owner who saved her.
In 'Queeny's Diary,' this tiny, Ragdoll breed kitten is left in the care of friends while her owners go away on vacation. Her diary entries describe numerous adventures and misadventures when she finds herself alone in a household full of other older and eccentric cats.
Danielle Hamilton is a talented dancer. She has it all, extraordinary beauty and an ambition to make it to the top. She has only one problem--unemployment.
Steve Savage is a retired dancer who has choreographed a new show. Not only did he set his imagination free, but his concept for the show took a flying leap away from the conventional wisdom of Broadway. He has only one problem--his lead dancer. Is there any dancer in New York who can do the show justice?
When Danielle and Steve meet it's a match made in heaven.
Or is it? Fate's hand touched them for the first time when Danielle was a child, and she was the cause of a horrific accident that ended Steve's dancing career. When Danielle's sister, Laura, learns this history, she becomes highly suspicious of Steve's motives to help Danielle.
Will they knock Broadway on its heels? Or, will darker motives destroy any lasting future for Danielle and Steve.
Writing is a passion and an important outlet in my life. I was born in Belgium, immigrated to South Africa where I lived for fifteen years, before finally settling in Toronto, Canada. As the saying goes, Life is a journey, and I try to use all of my varied experiences and exposure to diverse cultures to enrich my writing.
Another passion in my life is a deep love of animals. Mysterious and mystical felines are especially close to my heart, and I use my writing to bring awareness to their issues. The importance of spaying/neutering and support of animal rescue organizations are causes I champion as often as I can.
My book entitled, Kitten Diaries is now available on-line. It contains two almost true and humorous kitten adventure tales. Chanels Story opens the book and is about my wonderful cat, Chanel, and her version of when I adopted her from an animal shelter.
Queenys Diary is little Queenys story of when she is left with friends - and a houseful of other cats - while her owners go on vacation.
I also have opinions and points of view that I like to share on the freelance writers website, www.helium.com. Networking with other writers, sharing ideas and stories has been an especially enriching experience.
My next two projects will be childrens stories with cats and even a ferret as characters, followed by an expose of temporary workers in the workplace. If you think you know what it means to have a temporary job, think again.
My son and I live with our five cats and three fish. When not writing, I enjoy reading and ten-pin bowling.
In the romantic suspense drama, "Waiting for Silverbird", author Conny Manero creates a world of intrigue around her main character, Danielle Hamilton. Amateur dancer of a wealthy American businessman, Danielle has big dreams of becoming a Broadway star, dreams which will be pushed to the very limits by fate, and by a enigmatic past shared with the reclusive Stave Savage. With plenty of twist, turns, and pirouettes; just like its main character, "Waiting for Silverbird" gives the reader an emotional banquet upon which to feast, with dollops of beautiful descriptive scenes, and savory slices of the sinister. You will salivate with anticipation as you read Conny Manero's masterpiece.

Magnificent I had no idea this book was going to be this beautiful. It has moved me to tears. Waiting for Silverbird is magnificent, romantic and full of suspense. I can't describe it, one has to read it to believe it.

I generally read science fiction and fantasy, but seeing this was my moms book, I took the time to read it.Having finished the book recently I will say right off the bat that this is one book that I could not put down, trust me when I say that it was that good. And I generally I don't say this because as I sure you all know that there are books out there that are not even worth to read.I would definitely recommend it, even if your not into dancing, I guarantee that you will not put this book down, it has it all tragedy, romance, despair. What more can you ask for.So take it from me that its worth the money and the time.

For any pet lover who believes that their Fluffy or Brutus does have a mystical inner life, Kitten Diaries will confirm your theory and have you smiling.
The first, Chanel's story, grabs the heart of readers of all ages. Based on Ms. Manero's adoption of her beloved cat, Chanel, many will read her story and perhaps discover similarities to a shelter pet of their own. Chanel's Story enriches, amuses and informs readers while putting the spotlight on the importance of animal shelter adoptions.
The second Kitten Diary story is again based on a true experience by the author. In it we meet the Ragdoll breed kitten, Queenie. What happens when her owners go on vacation and she becomes a house guest in a home filled with other cats? You won't be disappointed with this engaging adventure story.
