About Tymeka
Tymeka grew up performing in Easter/Black History plays in the church at an early age and then later in High School Drama class.
She studied acting at K D Studio Actors Conservatory in Dallas, Texas where she received an Associates Degree in Acting. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology with a minor in English/Dramatic Writing from Texas Tech University and is a member of Delta Sigma Theta, Incorporated where she served as the Arts and Letters Chair where she was responsible for creating several entertainment fundraising events.
In 1999, Tymeka was crowned Ms. Black and Gold in a pageant in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King (and also won "Most Talented" for performing an original monologue). During this time Tymeka also had the opportunity of being in her first movie "Any Given Sunday".
Since then Tymeka has been actively pursing acting and writing, while also performing spoken word, stand-up comedy, full-figured modeling and recording lyrics in the studio.
Two of Tymeka's poems have been featured in Los Angeles magazines. "I Live To Succeed In The Air I Breathe"; Rolling Out Magazine and "I Am A Lady"; Melt Magazine.
Tymeka starred in, wrote, directed, and produced her debut 15 minute short film, "Mahogany Blues" as well as produced a TV pilot with her brother/producing partner Lemo Coney, entitled, "Common Bond".
Every since she can remember Tymeka has loved to share her gift of entertaining with the world. "I don't see myself being happy at any other career but Entertainment," she says.
Six months after arriving in Los Angeles, Tymeka landed a lead role in the play "Cinderella Brown" where she received rave reviews inThe La Sentinel and Rolling Out magazine.
Tymeka is currently in post production on "TheTruth Shall Be Known,"a christian-based TV series about marriage, faith, fidelity and commitment.

Synopsis
Common Bond is a multi-camera situational comedy about two teenage fraternal twins: Jaylyn & Shaylyn that move from Texas to the West Coast in hopes of fulfilling their lifelong dreams of becoming Celebrities in television, film, fashion, and music. They have no place to live but as fate would have it, they are forced to live with their Aunt who just so happens, to work for one of the largest entertainment firms in Southern, California. What happens when two gorgeous, charming, talented kids, from the south move in with the Savviest, Upscale, Most Sophisticated Entertainment Woman in the West who just so happens, to run the company, Bondafide Entertainment. Will a Common Bond be formed or quite the opposite?
