PROFILE
Joseph Hieu Dinh is a leading social media personality within Sydney South West and internationally. Having a law background, he is also a writer, producer, song-writer, renown MC Host-presenter and community cultural arts facilitator.
His short story The Lustrous Rains of Almond won the 2003 Patrick J. Keegan Authorship Award.
With an extensive record of community and charity work across Australia, in 2009 the Federal Vietnamese Community in Australia awarded him "Australian Vietnamese of the Year". He was also nominated the Bankstown Local Government Australia Day Award for Citizen of the Year 2009.
Joseph has initiated and has been involved with many community cultural development projects in strengthening intergenerational relationships. Mostly recently noted is digital storytelling projects 'Vietnamese Stories' and 'Vietnamese Storycubes" (2009). He has been invited guest lecturer at Australian National University (Canberra) and University of California Riverside (USA).
Joseph is currently working on various media projects at different stages of development, including a Vietnamese intergenerational theatre production (due in September 2010).
