Works with credit, debit, gift, membership, loyalty, discount, and promotional cards.
Vision
The vision of BriefCase is to provide consumers with a quick, accessible and secure management of their card memberships and the associated accounts. It will provide an all-in-one card that incorporates the various business programs that provide funds, discounts, tracking, and membership information to their databases and clerks.
Problem:
Solution:
The problem for consumers is they have too many cards for too many facilities, memberships, banks and identification in their wallets that are not being managed efficiently. These cards take up too much valuable space and time to use, replace, and secure as separate entities. Because of this, they are in the habit of not using them and passing up valuable discounts and promotions by businesses and it decreases that businesss willingness to continue the program and the consumer loses money by being oblivious to them. Having too many of something means that you have to put more effort into managing it: the constriction on purse/wallet size, losing the card, forgetting what it went to, the card being out of date, all these factors contribute to the downfall member based specialties. Usually stores integrate it into an all-inclusive system that removes the card element. The problem with that is that it is too specific when integration means making things more general or all-encompassing.
The proposed solution is an all-in-one Smart Card called The BriefCase that carries all of your identification, credit/debit cards , store loyalty cards, gift cards, and membership cards all in one convenient, secure, easy to access device. It serves the purpose of eliminating the space-consuming number of cards that are stored in our wallets every day. It is designed to make managing these accounts fast and reliable by using the internet as the fastest form of data transfer. Linked accounts will be managed online .
HOW IT WORKS
The BriefCase utilizes multilayer security features to ensure ease of use and reliability while safeguarding your accounts.
- Photo Identification on the Card
- Smart Chip
- Magnetic Strip
- PIN Code
- Signature (enabled feature)
- Micro fingerprint scanner on a powered card (future technology)
- Website unique username/password and theft services
When the card is swiped, it accesses a server which determines if the required swipe type is available for the account, it forwards the account ID to the card which then authenticates by requiring a PIN code. The website tracks the use of your card programs.
