ANNUAL BAPTIST ASSEMBLY: The Baptist Assembly will be returning to London from 4 – 6 May. Please pray for this important event in the life of our denomination as we celebrate together God’s goodness to the denomination over the last 400 years and seek his guidance as together we look Beyond 400. Visit the Assembly website www.baptistassembly.org.uk for further information. Everyone is welcome to attend the Baptist Assembly. Booking for the whole event costs just £95 up until 29 February. Or if you cannot come for the whole event why not come to one of the Celebrations at Central Hall, Westminster, or to one of the 13 Day Conferences on Saturday 5 May? We would love to see you. MISSION INITIATIVE GRANTS The next deadline for applications for Mission Initiative Grants need to be with the CBA Treasurer, Chris Winter-Goodwin, in order to be considered by the Council in March is Friday March 2nd.
SITUATIONS VACANT:
1) The Central Baptist Association has a vacancy to represent on the Council of Reference of BMS World Mission for an ordained minister. If you would like to know more, please contact Stephen Copson stephen.c_centralba.org.uk or 01462 442548.
2) The CBA also has vacancies for non-ordained people to serve on Baptist Union Council, which currently includes two residential midweek meetings per year. If you would like to know more, please have a word with Stephen Copson, details as above.
BIGHEARTED UK TOUR The CBA will be hosting Chris Duffett’s Bighearted UK Tour as president of the Baptist Union on Friday Feb 8th, Saturday Feb 9th, Sunday Feb 10th, and Monday Feb 11th 2013. He’ll be doing seminars on practical evangelism followed by practical evangelism. Saturday 9th Feb will be centred at Stoney Stratford, and Friday 8th may be somewhere in Buckinghamshire, but at the time of writing we still have options for churches to host this on Sunday 10th and Monday 11th February. TABLE TALK for Easter is a conversational game that creates space to explore some of life's more important questions with your friends. In each pack six big questions are explored over six sessions through the use of 16 conversational cards. Ideal for groups of 6-8 people. People gather around a table - someone reads a two minute introduction and then 16 question cards are placed up on the table - anyone chooses a question - games last for about 30-40 minutes. www.table-talk.org
SINGING CAFÉ Sundon Park Baptist Church in Luton would like to invite any churches seeking to develop their outreach to the elderly, to take a look at their
Singing Cafe initiative. Since we began 18 months ago we have served over
