about me
I am a freelance illustrator based in Nottingham, England.
In July 2010 I had work selected for entry into the AOI's (Association of Illustrators) Images 34 Annual and related touring exhibition. I have worked for numerous clients and had work commissioned from sectors such as the education and leisure industry.
My Inspiration
I find a great deal of my ideas are formed around the textures, patterns and shapes of everyday objects, which often inspire me when creating my characters. Humour frequently plays a big part in a lot of my work and I love word play and creating imagery that often has a double meaning.
My Materials
I mainly work in Photoshop, and I love to scan in textures, patterns, typography and any manner of other material I think can enhance my illustration. I love the practise of combining texture and form which I think results in a deeper, richer image.
