FGES ROCKS! We were one of four elementary schools to reach above 95% proficiency in both reading and math in Harford County.
We actually hit a 98.2% average for all three grades in reading and 96% for all three grades in math!

Painless Fundraising is a simple was to collect money without feeling the pinch on your budget. You can sign up right on your computer and it only takes a few minutes. Register with some merchants that you already visit on a daily basis. The PTA receives a % back on those receipts. The more money we receive, the less selling fundraising we have to do. Please consider registering for one or more of these programs, they are a great way to raise money without asking you to spend any additional money out of pocket!

Our PTA would like to inform you about a new opportunity to raise money for our school by partnering with Viridian Energy, a responsible green energy supplier. We are adding value to all Maryland Utility customers by saving them money every month on their utility bills. With energy deregulation we all have the right to choose our energy supplier and Viridian Energy is a low cost energy provider with a minimum of 20% renewable energy. It is very easy and safe to become a customer immediately. There is no downside to switching and your Utility still provides all the service and maintenance on the system. In fact, local Utilities are encouraging people to switch suppliers and save money. The reason we chose Viridian Energy to partner with is because it’s free to switch, cheaper than our current Utilities, good for the environment, requires no obligations at all and it is a renewable fundraiser for our organization. Every time you pay your Utility bill Viridian will give our PTA $2 every month for you just being a customer.

It is totally free to do, yet most Marylanders don’t understand how energy deregulation benefits them and still continue to pay the Utility retail rates. The whole school is excited about our upcoming Book Fair. An amazing selection of books is headed our way! At the Book Fair you will find the latest and finest titles for kids, as well as books of interest to parents. Mark your calendar for our Family Event where the whole family can join in the fun. And, you can contribute books to your child's classroom library. The Book Fair is a great way to get everyone excited about reading. See you there!
