Born in Los Angeles, California Clair was surrouned by art and other cultures from a young age and was always drawing whatever she had seen- wither it was skulls form Cinco de Mio from the Spanish influence, to the skyscrapers of downtown L.A., or the mountians of North California- Clair drew all that she saw. Then at the age of nine she moved to Dayton, Ohio where she stopped drawing for while. That, however, did not to last long because in high school a friend introduced Clair to Manga (Japanese comics) and from then on Art again controlled her life. In 2007 Clair enterd the University of Dayton's Art Department where she went from Graphic Design to Illustration, due to the illustrator Yuko Shimizu who Clair found in Sophomore year in an art magazine. On May 8, 2011 Clair graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts. Clair is now studying at the Academy of Art University where she will achieve her Master's in Illustration.
Born in Los Angeles, California in 1989 Clair was surrounded by art, different cultures- particularly Japanes, and different kinds of people, for example a man in a toga and flip-flops singing on the boardwalk while playing a harp. At the age of nine (9) Clair moved to Dayton, Ohio where she went to college at the University of Dayton and graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in illustration. In 2011 Clair was accepted to the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California where she will plans to achieve her Masters in Illustration.
Clair is influenced by comics, manga, traditional Japanese block prints, Art Nouveau, Mythology, 1940's and 1950's pin-ups, and concept art for almost any project.
