* At the Delphic oracle, the seers were not given names, instead titles that told visitors which seer to visit for their specific issue. Nephriel was raised as the seer of Doomed Love. This meant his consultations were solely with the goddesses, Aphrodite (love) and Eris (chaos), thus, Nephriel was given the title of Aphris.
Eris
Aphrodite
Appearance:
- Height: 5'11"
- Weight: 134 lbs.
- Body structure: Lean and lightly toned.
- Skintone: Alabaster with the faintest rouge shade to his cheeks and lips.
- Eyes: Though his eyes were once a pale, clear blue, an accident with a few chemicals diminished the melanin in his eyes to create blank, white eyes with no signs of pupils or irises. After his slumber however, the vampire's eye colour had mysteriously returned.
- Hair: White blonde waves with hints of natural golden highlights that fall to just the nape of his neck. His hair is (ironically) unkempt out of personal preference to give it that just-rolled-out-of-bed look.
- Markings: Pierced hips, spiderbites, emblem tattooed is onto his back, badly scarred left hip.
- Distinguishing features: Angelic appearance; rosy pout, flushed cheeks, thick lashes, sculpted cheekbones, fine bone structure.
Attire:
At one point in time, Nephriel preferred everything in his possession to be spotless and white but in the process of his slumber, he had lost the compulsive need to dress in only white. His style of dress now consists of a mix of styles. The only thing in his wardrobe that may stand out as bizarre are his five-inch heeled boots.
- Casual wear: Button-down shirts, turtleneck sweaters, slacks and his 5-inch stiletto-heeled boots.
- Formal wear: Attire from the Regency and Romantic eras.

Date of Embrace: Around August 1st, 230 B.C.
Occupation: Ruler, Danseur, Mantis (seer).
Species: Cryogenic Vampire.
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral*
Special Attribute:
Cryo - Cryogene isnt so much a power as it is a medical condition where body fluids are merged with the gaseous ice that had accumulated in the depths of the heart's left ventricle. Normally dormant, Cryo is something the vampyre had picked up in his days as at Marie de laFronde's lab. There are three stages to Cryo:
•Isolation - When Nephriel's system feels threatened or there are any occurrences that are unnatural to his regular upkeep, The Keeper takes control of his body and separates him from the public eye. His skin pores begin to secrete liquid ice so that the space in which his body is laid to rest becomes entirely covered in frost and mist.
•Hibernation - During this break, The Keeper takes the responsibility to fix any abnormalities in both Nephriel's physical and mental condition. This means his entire system is shut down to a comatose state.
•Pacification - The final stage in which the ice returns to the left ventricle and The Keeper awakens the system once more.
*Chaotic Neutral is called the "Anarchist" or "Free Spirit" alignment. A character of this alignment is an individualist who follows his or her own heart, and generally shirks rules and traditions. Good and Evil come a distant second to their need for personal freedom, and the only reliable thing about them is how totally unreliable they are. They typically act out of self-interest, but do not specifically enjoy seeing others suffer. Many free-spirited adventurers are of this alignment. Alternatively there are madmen whose actions are chaotic, but are not themselves inclined towards evil. (ripped from Wikipedia)

Born in the year 248 BC, Aphris (now Nephriel) was raised as a virgin seer for the priestesses of the Delphic Oracle in Greece, along with his twin Aphena (now Sake). Their birthparents gave them to the oracle at the sight of their alabaster skin, deciding that it was either a curse from the gods or some sort of an illness; in any case, it wasn't something they wished to be associated with. As time passed, the public became disturbed by the idea of a male seer in an all-female, religious acropolis, despite the boy's asexuality. At the age of 18, the priestesses sold him to the Persian vampire, Sepehr, who had come to the oracle for a reading concerning the Parni, the Seleucids and the seize of Parthia. Aphris had then become Sepehr's page. With time, the two had developed an odd sort of relationship with the mentality of "lovers in bed and enemies everywhere else". This mess of association eventually led Sepehr into a fit of jealous rage, who had come to think of Aphris as his possession. Instead of killing him, the Parnian warrior used his vampyric blood to seal the young man's fate with his own accursed one, so that they may be stuck together forever.
However, by the year 1000 AD and at the height of the first Crusades, Sepehr was met with the likes of Marie de laFronde, a young vampyric Crusader who fought for the Kingdom of Leon, in exchange for her existence. By 1085, Marie had discovered that Sepehr was a vampire and she managed to stake the male during a one-on-one duel; this in turn, led to the fall of the Moorish Toledo. Instead of killing Aphris, she adopted him as a childe, renaming him Nephriel (because of his tendency to have his head in the cloud). Nephriel spent a few centuries in Marie's underground lab in Paris, where he was subjected to test various chemicals and poisons she had created. By 1348 and with the rise of the Bubonic Plague in Europe, Marie became paranoid and set her own lab on fire out of suspicion that there were men out there that conspiring against her and planned to steal her designs for various treatments to ailments using her homegrown poisons. Nephriel had survived the fire however; he lost all contact with his mistress.
Figuring his immortality would leave him immune to the Black Death, the vampire trekked through Spain and traveled across the Mediterranean Sea to exile himself in Africa, where he spent a few decades traveling with nomads in what is present-day Morocco. With no mentor left to guide him, Nephriel chose to carry on Maries legacy and take in her last name as his own. He returned to Europe in the early 1400s, setting up a small olive plantation in Castile, which became an abundant business by the late 1400s. However, with the rise of the Spanish Inquisition set out by Isabella I, he was captured and forced to submit his riches. With his fortune gone, the vampire then set out to return to Delphi. However, during a stop-over in Venice, he found himself on Giovanni Caboto's voyage to the East. Once they had arrived to the shores of modern-day Newfoundland, Nephriel quickly alienated himself from the rest of the crew out of fear that they might discover his vampirism. He was taken in by the accepting Mikmaq tribe, who saw him as just another creation of Gisoolg, the Great Spirit Creator.
After a century of living in harmony with the Natives, Nephriel grew tired of his simple lifestyle and wished to revel in the luxurious lifestyle he once indulged in Europe. With that yearning in mind, the vampire traveled south through the Gulf of St. Lawrence and along the St. Lawrence river during the 1600s, to cross borders into America, eventually finding himself in present-day Vermont, where he once again settled in with the Native people of the area, known as the Abenakis; not only because of the likenesses between them and the Mikmaqs he had grown fond of but also because they were allied with the French, the country which Nephriel recognized as an integral part of his heritage. During the late 1600s, Nephriel left the Abenakis to travel further south into Massachusetts, where he was captured for the second time in his existence. Suspicious of his immunity of common ailments, he was pinned as a witch by the people of Salem and put to trial. With a mix of bribery and blackmail, Nephriel managed to escape his condemnation. Spending a few decades working at various estates as a farmhand, he settled in as a lover for a landlord in Boston by 1773, around the time of the infamous Boston Tea Party.
By the time his rich lover had expired in 1780, Nephriel had grown ennui of America and with his newly inherited fortune, he sailed the seas once more to return to France, where he had met Etienne desReves in Versailles; a vampire that would eventually become his first immortal lover. Etienne and Nephriel spent a great deal of time together; where Nephriel picked up ballet, Etienne had helped him build the school in which he would teach ballet. His dancing had become so renowned that Marie-Antionette herself would often visit the Opéra Royal (now Théâtre Gabriel) to see him perform; this would eventually lead to a friendship between the Monarch and the dancer. However, with the revolts against the Royals growing more frequent in Versailles, Etienne and Nephriel went into hiding in St. Cado, Bretagne, a small island off the coast of France where Etienne desReves had grown up as a mortal. They spent centuries together in a small community of vampires until an impossible dispute between the men caused Nephriel to leave St. Cado in 1950. He traveled overseas once again and met Tinwa; a serial killer who was also an immortal. Tinwa grew to keep Nephriel as a pet and taught him to assist him in making his weekly kills. Eventually the pair drifted during the 1990s, only to be reunited once again when they both stumbled upon the city of Ravenblack in 2008.
A few years after his emigration and after the end of his relationship with his fiancé, Nephriel thought it better to let himself slip into deep slumber and so, with the aide of science he embraced sleep and had himself buried in a deep underground chamber, while trapping his soul into the body of another vampire. Centuries later, after the War had risen and then eventually died out, the blonde vampire rose once more only to find an old lover had survived the Armageddon as well. Together they set out to find others who had, creating a small force. They set foot in Versailles soon after and took control of the Anarchic state, giving the people of the nation equal opportunity with their fair ruling. A while after he had settled into his monarchy, Nephriel came to discover that the vampire that he had essentially given life to still walked the earth. His experiment had failed and he came to understand that his soul had split in two; one half still in him while the other was in the younger vampire, Felice; who he took an immediate liking to and took him into the Versailles court to knight him, giving him the nickname Keravnos (Greek for lightning, in lieu with Nephriel's name) which Felice then took in as his middle name. Instead of being disappointed in his failed experiment, Nephriel was thrilled with the result, curious as to what the side-effects were and with this curiosity he came to learn that because they are connected by such a crucial bond, death to either one of the subjects would be fatal to the other. They were bound together by their souls.
One of Nephriel's greatest qualities is his charm. Though he is somewhat dense when it comes to important matters, his wit is ever-present when flirting with someone or matters that concern him. He has what one may call a silver tongue; this is often seen when he is in pursuit of a new infatuation. He will attempt to charm his way into their mind without breaking a sweat, dominating them completely and in most cases, if successful he will more than likely grow weary with the poor soul. If he is not successful in his tirade, he will continue to chase his fixation until some form of mutual affection is shown; usually, the longer the chase, the less time before he grows tired.
He seeks beauty in everything (finding it often) and romance is something that is close to his heart; whether it be wooing someone, putting on a public dramatic display or simply picking out his outfit for the day, Nephriel prefers things that reflect the softness of romanticism yet the ostentation of regalty. He considers himself to be somewhat of a knight in shining armour, despite his title as Basilias and he will often look for trouble so that he may be able to "rescue" whoever it is that's in it. Despite all his playfulness and his gallantry and despite the fact that he has been a danseur for centuries, Nephriel has the tendency to be comically clumsy and easily fazed; his ability to keep a calm exterior is very limited and he is prone to burst into various colours of emotional outbursts.
He isn't always optimistic and impish; when he is angered, Nephriel rarely backs down. His pig-headedness is often his downfall as it is backed up by pride. In his opinion, if he is to fall back during an argument, his point isn't being made clear to his opponent and that is simply unacceptable. He has no faith in love; since his revival, Nephriel's views on such a matter has changed drastically and while he might have lovers, it would be superficial and mostly physical as his distrust makes it difficult for anyone to win over his heart. It would be a difficult task for anyone to love him and he figures if no one is willing to put in the effort, they're not worth his time, anyways. His raised guard makes it nearly impossible for anyone to know what he's really thinking; something he is very careful with.
To top it all off, Nephriel is a very prudent man. His attention to details can be most tedious to anyone who is in his company. He is picky about nearly everything and has as many opinions as he does temper tantrums. Though he is usually open-minded, things that defy his morals and beliefs are things he could never accept. Those that disregard him or make the mistake of doing something he doesn't particularly like, will be set in his blacklist for a good, long time and depending on the severity of the person's crime, Nephriel will either ignore their existence or plot to have their head on a platter before sunrise.

Complexes:
Heroism -Though he is sometimes the instigator, Nephriel has the habit of going against the crowd. In no way does he appreciate when numerous beings begin to ostracize one lesser person; especially if the attacks are morally crushing to the victim. Thus, when he sees someone (who is undeserving of such bullying) under the pressure of being jeered at, he will be tempted to jump in and defend them; an enticement that he will often give into.
Superiority - Despite his heroic tendencies, Nephriel also tends to think himself better than those around him. This complex was acquired when the blonde was still a human seer at the Delphic oracle and he was held in high regards by the priests. This mentality stayed with him throughout his youth, carried into his turning and eventually became an indestructible self-love.
Separation Anxiety - Nephriel's separation anxiety is perhaps his most hindering complex. Not seeing those he loves makes him angsty and easily irritated, because he is not someone who likes to be kept waiting. Therefore, when someone who he is expecting goes amiss, his impatience sets in and he becomes instantly aggravated, thinking that perhaps the other had forgotten about him. The intensity of his post-anxiety tantrum varies from friends to family to lover; in that order with the lover having to deal with the strongest of reprimand.
OCD - Nephriel has the tendency to be extremely obsessive, given certain situations such as cleanliness. The area surrounding him must always be spic and span, his belongings must always be free of dust and his own chambers are to be well maintained and neat.
Oedipus Complex - Male children at birth, according to Freud, are said to favour their mothers and secretly rival their fathers for their mother's attention; with time though, they outgrow this stage. However, since Nephriel had no mother figures in his early life, he has developed an Oedipus complex for the women he sees as guides in his unlife. He will bend to their every whim to make sure they are always happy because to him, they can do no wrong and anyone who says otherwise will usually be met with a severe backlash.

Hobbies and Skills:
Painting/Sculpting - Using the drained corpses leftover from his feed, Nephriel creates his own works of art in the depths of the garage (his Lair) of his now-abandoned house.
Dancing - Ballet has now become a routine for Neph since he had picked it up in the 1800s. It is his way of channeling his anger into a more peaceful outlet.
Growing Poisons - One of his more recently discovered pastimes, Nephriel enjoys cultivating his own poisonous mushrooms in the basement of his old abode. More often than not, he will test out his poisons on poor, unsuspecting victims.
Theatrics - Drama ties in with his love of eloquence and the arts. Nephriel is prone to burst into Shakespearean drama in the middle of tense moments.
Charming - In his own words, "Everyone deserves to be flattered and feel good about themselves. And Im here to help with that."

In His Own Words...
Idols?
Marie-Antoinette; style and class, what more can you ask for from a queen? And Niccolo Machiavelli; conniving little man who was the brains behind the infamous Medici family. His cynicism was a dose of cold, hard reality. That is all you need; graceful beauty and a strong, hard heart.
Goals?
To make them proud.
"Them"?
Anyone.
Favourite...
-Colour? White. I love the idea that white is pristine and chaste and yet it collects the most dirt and grime visibly. Its a matter of irony as well; a man in white is seen as angelic.
-Word? Perfection. Perfection is also my other goal; because it is nearly impossible to attain and I love a good challenge.
-Animal? Snakes.
-Food? Err, blood?
-Person? Josephine and Emmett.
-Song? Feelin Good by Michael Buble.
-Book? Lolita by Vladmir Nabokov.
-Stone? Moonstone.
-Flower? Tiger Lily.
-Smell? Magnolia. Marie had a garden of magnolias.
-Weapon? Eloquence. The pen in mightier than the sword and a honey-laced voice is mightier than the pen. And my tazer.

Sepehr - Sepehr was Parnian vampire and warrior who had come to the Oracle for a reading. Coincidentally, this was also when the priestesses were planning to sell Aphris. Overhearing their conspiring and having had taken a liking to the young blonde, Sepehr offered to buy the lad for a higher price than they had been set out to sell him for and so, Aphris had begrudgingly become the Persians traveling companion. One night, Sepehr's possessiveness over the mortal had resulted in him nearly killing and then turning Aphris, making Sepehr his first true Sire.
Vrochi
Marie de laFronde - During the Crusades of 1000 AD, Sepehr's troop of warriors had created an alliance with the Moors. Marie de laFronde was a female Crusader who had grown to know Sepehr's vampyrism from spying on him under the cover of nightfall; and in knowing his immortal weaknesses, she had killed him with a stake, only to receive the burden of his still young and naïve apprentice as her responsibility. Instead of killing Aphris, she had decided to rename him as Nephriel and took him in as a protégé and manservant.Nephriel had a run-in with the crazed vampiress in Switzerland where she had attempted to re-claim him as her possession.
The Keeper - While under Marie's care, Nephriel was subjected to being a guinea pig for her many experiments with chemicals. Whence a chemical imbalance in his system caused him to contract Cryo and with the condition came a shapeless being who had been dubbed by Marie as The Keeper. She takes the form of a breeze or if she feels like giving someone a glimpse of her true appearance, a ghostly apparition. She is always present around Nephriel and thus far, he is the only one who has been able to hear her voice, which he often describes as the voice of a smitten young maid.
Eva
The gargoyle - It is not positive whether this being is real or a figment of Nephriel's imagination but the gargoyle is a pet that he claims to have found eating away at one of his cadavers in his laboratory.
