In 2004, Cynthia and I were seated next to each other at the singles table of a 600-person Greek wedding. From the time we met, we knew we would be together and we always dreamed of one day opening a restaurant of our own. In October 2008, that dream became a reality with the opening of TeddyFabz.
I grew up in Glenview and spent 18 years working for the family business (Mellos Peanut Company in Chicago). Cynthia grew up in Los Angeles and spent 10 years working for Disney, followed by 2 years working for DreamWorks Studios in their International Casting Department. Although I didn't have any restaurant experience, I always enjoyed cooking for family and friends. Cynthia, on the other hand, grew up in the business. Her dad opened his first restaurant over 30 years ago in California and she spent a lot of time in the kitchen watching him work.
After the birth of our first son in 2006, we started giving serious thought to our own restaurant concept. It was important that TeddyFabz be an extension of our home, our family and our hospitality. Our goal was to create a warm, comfortable atmosphere where guests would feel welcome the minute they walked in. We also needed to have a menu that would be priced right, but would not skimp on quality or creativity. Based on what our customers have been saying, were happy to know that weve succeeded!

Every single item is made to order with several family recipes that have been passed down from Cynthia's father. From delicious charbroiled burgers, gyros and Chicago style hot dogs, to scrumptious sandwiches, salads and wraps, we take great pride in our food quality, our prompt and friendly service and our affordable family-friendly price points, with nothing more expensive than $6.99!
In addition to a menu with something for everyone, TeddyFabz features several signature side dishes including cooked to perfection sweet potato fries with Ranch dressing, home-made onion rings, and zucchini sticks (made from tried and true family recipes that have been passed down from one generation to the next) and home-made fried pickles (yes, you read it right!). Served with apricot chipotle sauce, its a taste sensation like no other!
TeddyFabz also offers a great selection of kids meals (served with a drink and French fries for $3.99 each) and fabulous home-made desserts made with love and care by Teddy's favorite gals..Cynthia and his mom. Save room for Cynthia's decadent chocolate cake, its a must-have!

TeddyFabz is available for private parties and special events. With comfortable seating for 120, and a menu that is both family-friendly and affordable, TeddyFabz is a great choice! Whether its a kids birthday party, a family reunion, a networking reception, a business meeting, or a surprise party for Grandma, our courteous and friendly staff will ensure that your event is an absolute success!
Planning a party at TeddyFabz is easy! You are welcome to have your guests order off the menu or you can have one of our managers create a menu specific for your event. There are no room fees or extra charges. Please call us today to discuss your party planning needs and to reserve your date. We love celebrations!
