ABOUT US
We have a deep relationship filled with love, laughter, communication, team-work and goofing around! We met in December 2007 and were married in June 2009. After we met for the first time we knew we were a perfect fit! We love spending time outside, especially running or mountain biking together. In addition, we live close to a large lake and spend many evenings taking walks to watch the sunset. One of our favorite things to do is catch up after our day, sitting in our Adirondack chairs on the front porch. Our relationship is a strong foundation to welcome a child into our family. We both plan to take leave from work so that we can bond with and get to know our child.
We really enjoy travelling and we especially love the beach! Any chance we have, we head to the ocean or a lake. We are currently planning a trip to Florida with our family. We look forward to our child joining us in everything we do~

By Laura: I can undoubtedly say Chris is my best friend and with that foundation our relationship grows deeper each day. I have a close bond with Chris and found an instant connection when we met. By far the quality that stands out most about him is his hilarious sense of humor! He is constantly making me laugh. In addition, he is also a deep and sensitive person, with the gentlest of souls. He loves to workout at the gym and is an avid runner. He has a giving nature and his work in the field of human services has really helped
him to share that part of his personality with his clients.
By Chris: I enjoy relaxing, being outside and exercising. I have a laid back personality and I am a great listener. I work for the federal government in the field of human services. This affords me great benefits like compressed and flex time, which allows me days off and varying hours (which will allow me to spend more time with our child). I have a couple semesters left in my Masters iof Arts Degree n Counseling. I am planning to transition into a counseling role within the federal government where I can assist clients with personal concerns. I have been learning a great deal during my graduate program and I have discovered many skills that I can put to use with our child. Recently I completed a class focused on child development.

By Chris: Laura is one of the most thoughtful, intelligent, witty and funniest people I have ever met! I am so lucky to have a wife who is also my best friend. She has a kind personality and a depth that makes her very unique. I know that she will make a wonderful mother just like she is an amazing wife. Our relationship grows stronger every day and we look forward to welcoming an addition to our family!
By Laura: I have always wanted to become a mother. I am so excited to enter this phase in my life! I would describe myself as caring, thoughtful, goofy, loving, sweet, funny and genuine. Last year I earned a PhD in the field of counseling/psychology, focusing on the importance of multiculturalsm and ethics. I really enjoy working as a school counselor and have been periodically teaching courses at a university as well. Working at a school, I am fortunate to have a great amount of time off, which will enable me to spend quality time with our child. My education and training has provided me with skills that will be put to great use in raising our child. To put it simply, I cant wait!
I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in His word I put my hope. -PSALM 130:5-
