The place where you don't have to be anyone else but YOURSELF.
Welcome to the Chesapeake Alumnae Chapter! If you just graduated from college, moved to the area or have been away from Alpha Gamma Delta and are looking to get involved again, the Chesapeake Alumnae Chapter might be for you. We welcome sisters from Maryland and Washington D.C. and provide support to the Zeta Delta Chapter at Towson University.
In 2010, the Chesapeake Alumnae Chapter was recognized as a 5-star and Jewel Chapter and earned the Alumnae Chapter Achievement Award. It is our goal to continue to achieve such high standards and provide a place that is welcoming to all Alpha Gams.
Our group is diverse. We are teachers, lawyers, healthcare professionals, stay-at-home moms, computer geeks, graduate students and much more. We volunteer, belong to book clubs, work out and are active in our church communities. We are mothers, daughters, aunts, best friends. But above all, we are sisters!
Check out our website and plan to join us at an upcoming event. You will be welcomed with open arms and you might just find that place you are looking to call home.

There are many ways that you can ―contribute to the world‘s work‖ in your daily life. One simple way is to save the can tabs from cans of soda—. Terri Johnson is collecting the can tabs for Ronald McDonald House.
You can also find a new life for your old cell phones AND their chargers by collecting them for Turn Around, the domestic violence sexual assault crisis counseling center in Towson. To donate to either of these causes, please contact Terri Johnson at raven8007_yahoo.com .
The SEED School of Maryland is a college prep public boarding school located in Southwest Baltimore. SEED serves underprivileged students from across the state with the mission of providing them with a quality education in a safe and enriching environment.
We are currently looking for individuals who are caring, fun, and can be a positive role model for our students. If that sounds like you please consider joining our mentoring program! Mentors are asked to commit to a minimum of one hour every other week for the entire school year. Our emphasis is on social emotional development, so no academic expertise is necessary.
Mentors can come Monday - Friday from 7AM - 8 AM, 12PM -1PM, or Monday-Thursday 4- 7:45. We pick a day and time that works with their schedule and then they come the same day and time each week or every other week. What mentors do with the kids is totally dependent on what their shared interests are. A number of them do crafts together, some just hang out and talk, some play games, others choose sports activities. Sometimes they might help with a school project too.
