The dawning of a new millennium brought with it introspection on a universal scale. In this same period, artist Chase Valentin was turning thirty and recognised a relationship between both his own, and society's meditations. In the decade that straddled the year 2000, he produced a body of over five hundred works portraying emotional and psychological turmoil. Featured here is a selection known as the Juvenilia Collection - an expression of a young man's fears, an artist's hopes, and the struggle of both to find stability amidst the apocalyptic anxiety of a new millennium.
