Carl Hess was fortunate enough to meet President Obama for the first time during the 99th Annual NAACP Convention held in Cincinatti, OH. When Carl and President Obama greeted one another, Carl offered this original painting to Obama. The President complimented his art, signed the portrait, and allowed Carl to keep it for his personal collection.
