There are a number of incentives that have been implemented by Indiana legislation. These incentives were produced in order to promote turbine wind power among Indiana residents. (bullet) State Grant Program This program is directed towards Alternative Power and Energy. For wind power specifically, each project will receive a $2.50 grant per watt DC. (bullet)Renewable Energy Property Tax Exemption In Indiana, systems that generate energy using solar, wind, hydropower or geothermal sources are exempt from property tax. *There are also a number of other financial incentives for Indiana residents who are able to conserve any kind of energy in their homes
