Welcome to the Celilo 2011 "All Nations" Campmeeting. We are excited to celebrate this years campmeeting on Celilo Tribal grounds that is the homesite to one of North America's oldest continually inhabited villages, estimated to be 11,000 years old. This years camp is being sponsored by ROAR (Reviving Oregon's Amazing Roots) Ministries www.roaroregon.org, Healing for the Natives Ministries http://healingforthenativesministries.org, and the Circuit Riding Preachers. The camp is about reclaiming the spirit of revival experienced by the Indian tribes during the 1840 campmeeting held near this very site, and reclaiming the apostolic anointing that Jason Lee ministered. It was reported that nearly eight hundred Indians were water baptised by Jason Lee. Chief White Swan who was in attendance reported, "All Chiefs sat with War Bonnets and smoking pipes not listening to Lee. After three days preaching it was like something hot came down from heaven and all Indians threw away bonnets and went two by two into the trees to pray, it sounded like birds singing in the trees." During the camp we will have a "Give Away" to honor the Indians of the 1840 Revival and Jason Lee, and will pray for the "Healing of the Land" You don't want to miss this historical campmeeting.

He oh ks te kinIt is because of his heroic efforts to find the Book of Heaven that we honor He Ho Kis Tekin. Traveling almost 3000 miles by moccasin he led a delegation to St Louis to find the promised Book of Heaven. It was because of Hee oh ks te kin's efforts that Jason Lee heard the "Macedonian Call" of the Indians and established the Oregon Mission from which countless Natives were introduced to the Son of God. Jesus Christ. Returning to his people empty handed, Hee oh ks te kin returned with a broken heart; however, it was through his efforts that news reached the missionaries that the western tribes were seeking the Word of God. There is no record of these two remarkable men ever meeting, but we wonder if Hee Ho Kis Te kin was part of the revival on the river, and saw his vision fulfilled. We pray the Holy Spirit impart to us the same spirit of faith and determiniation to seek the Word of God as these heroic warriors?
Jason LeeLee answered the "Macedonian Call of the Indians" to preach the gospel to the western tribes. Driven by a passion to bring salvation to the Natives, Lee left the comforts of life and answered the "Macedonian Call"of the Indians. Lee was initially rejected by the Flatheads, who were looking for the Black Robes. Unpreterbed he pushed on to the Willamette Valley where he established the Oregon Mission. Lee preached with an apostolic anointing and recorded over eight hundred water baptisms at the 1840 revival held near the presant day The Dalles. We pray for the restoration of the apostolic anointing as we return to the original mission God intended for the church of America; Native and Anglo American believers walking together as one family in Christ.
Chief White SwanAsked if he saw Jason Lee, the Chief replied, "Yes I saw him.... while Lee preached Indian Chiefs sat smoking, not caring to hear the gospel. Three of four days while he was preaching all women and Chiefs felt different just like something had melted and hot had came down, and they throw away their tomahawks and war bonnets and fall down and ask God to forgive them. People were surprised to see what kind of spirit came down and then they look at each other and see tears running down faces and then all fall down and worship God. ... afetr the camp meeting closed ... he sent them out two by two among the rocks to pray and the Indians use to pray just like birds singing among the trees." It is this life altering miracle spirit that we are seeking and believe will fall upon the Celilo 2011 Campmeeting. Come and join us in preaching and praying until "Something hot comes down from heaven!!!!
