I am an Assistant Professor at Miami University Hamilton where I teach media studies courses. I write and research about social networking sites, particularly designed for musicians. I am actively trying to examine every social networking site that currently exists for musicians, and interested in understanding the common trends and gradual shifts associated with the act of promotion, distribution, marketing and self-branding that proliferate within the social networking environment.
I am currently working on a book project, "Social Media Revolution: Case Studies in Musicians and Music Industries," Digital Formation Series by Peter Lang Press.
