M.E.S INDIAN SCHOOL - DOHA- QATAR

C.C.F (Campus Care Force) is a group of students formed and headed by the guide teacher, Mrs. Sasthaa Mujibullah - Dept. of Chemistry. The group aims in bringing positive changes in the mind set of students, teachers and staff and also bringing awareness among them about the importance of a clean environment within the school campus in general and in the society in particular.

> To bring awareness among students to keep their surroundings clean and tidy> To make the students realize the importance of cleaner and healthier environment> To educate the community in general about a clean environment .> To educate the students on how to dispose the waste of the class room as well as of the ground effectively and properly.> To grow more plants in the campus to make the environment green and to take care of the plants.

CCF started out as a small idea with huge potential. The group started it's existence on the 20th of Oct '08, initially involving just a handfull of members from classes IX to XII with the guidance of Chemistry Teacher Mrs. Sasthaa Mujibullah in Boys' Section. Presently the group is extended to all the Sections of the School such as Girls, Junior, K.G and Kerala Board. At present there are more than 500 students of CCF.

CCF in the span of two years won consecutively QATAR TODAY GREEN AWARD - 2009 AND 2010 in the Category ENVIRONMENTAL LEADERSHIP IN EDUCATION SECTOR for the excellent contribution in bringing environmental awareness among the School students.

CCF TODAY

CCF has been extended to Girls, KB , Junior and K.G sections and has over 500 students.CCF Boys is headed by the CCF secretary JENSON BINOJI and assisted by Assistnat Secretary ANANDHA KRISHNAN.Each section of the school has a co-ordinator who assist the chief co-ordinator in running the group.Members of classK.G II to IV ensure hygiene in their own classes while Members of classes V- VII take good care of Cleanliness around canteen and Members of Class VIII maintain Cleanliness around various gates.Representatives of Classes IX and X take good care of Grass field and Assembly ground respectively.Asst. Leaders and Leaders of Classes XI and XII see the overall functioning of these classes.All the CCF students who worked tirelessly for the grroup will be given a certificate at the end of the academic year.CCF has taken initiative for replacing the plastic covers used for wrapping the food by paper .Flannels and posters are placed all over the campus to remind the students of the importance of cleanliness.The small bins in the school were replaced by large-sized bins.

Impact

The entire campus remains clean till the final bell.It is observed that more and more students are taking the initiative of using the bins rather than littering.The overall cleanliness of the class rooms have shown a lot of improvement.The area near School canteen is maintained very clean through out the day.More and more students extend their willingness to be a part of CCF group, so that they can extend their contribution for the changing environment.

MISSION

CONTRIBUTION
CCF took initiative for releasing Posters and Flannel Boards emphasizing Cleanliness. The posters were pasted in every class room to help students observe and follow healthy Cleanliness habits.CCF contributed in Republic Day Parade - 2009 during which all the CCF students of various Section taken part and made the parade a memorable one.CCF excelled in performing the duties not only on the regular working days but also during special occasions like Annual day Celebrations, Sports day, Youth Festival etc.CCF took greater effort in bringing an awareness program on H1N1 during Annual day -2009. The program was highly appreciated for bringing useful information about H1N1 by each and every observer.CCF took initiative to replace small sized trash bins used in all the Class rooms by the ones suitable for the Class rooms. It also took initiative to replace plastic wrappers used in canteen by papers.The group is conducting Cleanliness competition in every term in order to encourage the competitive spirit among the students fpr maintaining their class rooms clean.The group is also conducting special Assembly in every term during which various talks on the topics like Care for Parents, Hazards of using plastics, Care for Nature etc are delivered which motivated the listeners to develop good environmental values.
