Established by Tom Rupp who began his career in the flooring business in 1974, Floor Perfect has been recently purchased by Robert. R Brown, a native of Dallas Texas who has over 30 years of construction and business experience.
As you may have noticed, Floor Perfect has upgraded to the new technological age and we plan to serve you the best way possible.
Bob came to Salina in 1993 with the idea of working on a project for three years and then going back to Dallas......That project took much longer than expected and he has stayed in Salina ever since.
Bob is best known in the Salina area for designing and building the "Rolling Hills Wildlife Adventure" and its accompanying 64,000 square foot museum which includes the "Earl Bane Galllery" and a large conference center. www.rollinghillswildlife.com
After the completion of his project in the rolling hills, Bob started his landscape company "BBC Landscapes" and completed many projects in central Kansas including the very large scale landcape at Kansas Wesleyan University. He also designed and built a "Devotional Garden" and meditation labyrinth at KWU in 2010.
Originally from Skowhegan, Maine, Chris declared Kansas his home after meeting his wife while serving at his final duty station at Fort Riley.
Chris served 6 years of active duty in the U.S. Army, Infantry and was deployed on peacekeeping tours to Albania, Macedonia, Kosovo, and Kuwait and finished up with a one year combat tour in Iraq. Chris reached the rank of Sergeant and was honorably discharged in 2004.
During his work in the landscaping industry from 2004-2008 Chris met Bob Brown who has become his partner, confidant and business mentor.
Chris currently serves Floor Perfect as the Vice President of Operations.
A common misconception is that carpet traps dust and pet dander that are harmful to those with asthma and allergies. If carpet is properly maintained, the level of dust and allergens in the air can be 8.9 times lower than it would be with typical hard surface flooring.
