I don't know what I would do in life if I didn't have my camera. It follows me everywhere; it's what I do. After getting started with black & white film photography in high school, I knew that it was something I'd never let fall by the way-side. Photography keeps me going... being able to frame up what God has put on this earth truly touches my heart and being able to create beautiful images for people fills me with joy. I am passionate about capturing the beauty and emotions of life and creating those images, that make you "feel."
Right now, photography is just a hobby but in the future I hope to make it a full-time job.
When I'm not behind a lens, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my wonderful husband who serves our community as a firefighter and paramedic. I also love to spend time with our 6 horses but specifically my paint mare "Magic."

If I could describe my photographic style in 5 words, it would be: fresh, modern, candid, natural and relaxed. I am so over the days where you sit in front of a bunch of big lights, tilt your head and say "cheese!" I love the challenge of using what I've got as far as natural light goes, and you'll see this reflected in my photographs. I'll never put you in a stiff pose or force a smile. I am all for the natural, candid look of photos... showing the realness of life.
As for post processing, I don't like the overly-processed look and want to keep photos looking natural as possible. Ocassionally I do like to play in photoshop with colors, contrast, and textures... right now, I'm big into the retro look (as you can tell with my above self-portrait).
