I have learned when to follow the rules and when to break them; I have learned what equipment to use and how to use it; I have learned how to read visual media and how to communicate through imagery; but one thing I haven't learned is my visual style. I haven't learned it because it wasn't taught to me, and it wasn't taught to me because it was gifted to me. I believe I have been given the gift to see--to see life all around me in such a way that obliterates the mundane.
