GREAT NEW CHANGES AT ARTS & MORE... GALLERY
AS WE CELEBRATE FOUR YEARS OF BUSINESS IN RED BUD.
Arts & More Gallery, located at 302 North Main Street is celebrating Four years of business in Red Bud. Things have changed considerably since our doors opened in 2005.
Along the way we have been delighted to work with clients big and small. We have supplied works of art and produced custom frames for individuals and business all around the region.
In February of 2006 we purchased new equipment and began Custom Framing Operations. Our Custom Framing department has had an opportunity to frame works of art for hundreds of customers around the area. Those that have shopped for framing are delighted to see our prices are very competitive. We have framed everything from prints and painting, to jerseys and baseballs.
We have had the great privilege of bringing some noteworthy artists to your great little town to meet their fans in the community including: Jesse Barnes, Bob Byerley and Ron Mellot. It was our pleasure to introduce these world renowned artist to Red Bud.
In December 2007 we diversified just a bit more. When I originally open the gallery I called it Arts & More Gallery for a reason. I have wanted to encompass all of Arts within this store. We started carrying music accessories in the beginning of December. Our clients can now find picks, strings, straps, pedals, and more. They dont have to drive out of town to get the items they constantly need.
We are proud to announce we are now a member of the Better Business Bureau with an (A) Rating, L-I-F-E (Local Independent Framing Expert) and the Professional Picture Framers Association.
In 2008 we made some noticeable changes to the building, replacing 41 windows, all of the doors in the building except for the front door; which has architectural detail hard to replace. We replaced the awning and painted the front of the building, which truly helps its curb appeal. We added some siding to the rear of the building and combined two efficiencies into a two bedroom apartment. In 2009 we replaced the Roof and made many more interior remodeling changes.
Im sure you have notice there are many business owners and home owners remodeling and refurbishing buildings in our community. Its not only for them but for the community. This shows the pride they have in their community. This is why its so important for community members to Shop Red Bud First its not just a saying, it should be a way of life. These people are making a commitment to the growth and prosperity of Red Bud. Our business will remain here because of you. In these difficult economic times it is the loyalty of our clients that helps us make ends meet.
At the end of the year in 2007 I was selected as the Director of the Student Theatre Program at the Red Bud High School. There was such a great response by the students to the program. Its definitely something the school has needed for a while. I selected a cast for our first production. It was Drop Dead Juliet in the Spring of 2008. Its was comedy that spoofed Romeo & Juliet. In the next school year we performed two productions - Murders in Heir, a murder mystery with audience participation. The audience chose a new killer each night of the production. We also performed Cinderella, Cinderella, a hilarious adaptation of the original Cinderella story. They were both well received.
Community support and involvement are crucial to our endeavor. If you have an interest in dance choreography, music or have experience in theatre, please give me a call, we are looking for some volunteers and we welcome help from community members. We are planning a musical in the winter of the 2009-2010 school year that may also be a dinner theatre.
So as you can see we are working to be the communities source for all that is the Arts. And as a side note: We are also considering the potential of barista arts. We are considering combining a coffee house in the front of the gallery. If you would have an interest in such a business in Red Bud, please go to www.artsandmoregallery.com and vote.
Your response will be a great determining factor in our decision.
Our goal would be to have a location where locals could come to listen to music, enjoy a great cup of coffee, espresso, cappuccino or latte, a delicious muffin or biscotti or other delicious coffee accompaniments.
So please; if you are getting ready to remodel, replace or build, if you play in a band or are a soloist, if you need something framed call us, We Can Help. If you Shop Red Bud First the community can continue to grow.
