We want to share with you a wonderful opportunity for Christian fellowship and evangelistic outreach. After much prayer, discussion and planning, we are announcing, via, this letter the formation of a new Christian fishing organization. The name of the organization will be Christian Angler’s Striper Trail, CAST.” The purpose of the new organization will be for Christian fellowship, reaching the un-churched and providing a Christian atmosphere for striper fishing. Many of our churches offer the men and women of our church and community, the opportunity to participate in a Christian bass fishing organization, but we are not aware of a Christian striper organization.
A quick overview of the guidelines of CAST are:
1. The purpose of the organization is for Christian fellowship and outreach.
2. The tournaments will take place on Clark Hill Lake and Lake Murray.
3. The tournament will be held on the Saturday following the last Friday of each month, beginning with the tournament in February 2008 on Lake Murray.
4. On Friday night, prior to the tournament, an organizational/club meeting will be held at Shiloh Baptist Church in Aiken, South Carolina.
