Each year the Campbellford-Seymour Agricultural Society sponsors a Field Crop competition. Prize money is awarded for the top three placings in each class.
This competition has an Open Class and a Junior Class, which is restricted to juniors 18 years of age & under. All Exhibitors in the Open Class must purchase an Exhibitor Pass (to be surrendered at the gate) for $10.00, which also allows one day only free admission to the Fair. This fee is to be mailed with the entry form.
There is no fee for the Junior Class. However, juniors exhibiting in the Open Class must purchase a $10.00 Exhibitors Pass and not enter the exhibit in the Junior Class as well.
The Junior Section exhibitor with the highest overall point score in all Jr. Classes will receive a plaque from the Campbellford-Seymour Agricultural Society in addition to cash and other prizes.
The Open Class exhibitor with the highest overall point score will receive the Lorne McKeown Memorial Trophy.
NOTE: All samples for both Open and Junior Classes are to be registered with the Society and on display in the arena no later than 12 noon on the Friday of the Fair.
