University Foundation and pre-Master Courses
The University Foundation Programme (UFP) is a one-year intensive course that leads to entry to a wide range of universities in the United Kingdom. It is designed as an alternative to the conventional A-Level route, which takes two years to complete. Our University Foundation Programmes have been established for over a decade and are designed to prepare students for a specific course at university and provide the necessary skills for success at degree level. They are fast-track programmes that have been designed by the College in consultation with some of the UKs top universities for entry to an undergraduate degree course.
Cambridge Special Easter Camp
Why not spend 6 weeks of your Summer/Easter time (April or June) in the wonderful historic city of Cambridge and stay with English people in their homes and learn English while you see our culture and have fun tours and excursions. You can contact us for more information.
A-Level and GCSE Courses
The A-Level (short for Advanced Level) is a General Certificate of Education set of exams taken in the United Kingdom. They are usually taken during the end of secondary school. In the UK, they are usually taken two years after the students have completed GCSE or IGCSE exams. A-Levels are usually split into six parts, each with its own exam. Most people study three A-Levels, and one AS-Level. An AS-Level is the first half of an A-Level. An AS-Level can be studied on its own, but to get an A-Level the second half must also be learnt.
The examination results of the A-Levels determines if a student is good enough to go to a university or college. Most universities require students who want to attend the university to pass three A-Levels.

Contact Us
and you can start your application online by sending us your details in this email below
Please complete the General enquiry/registration form (given below) and send it to us with a copy of the first page of your Passport and details of your English and other Qualifications. We will consider these and then the College may send you an Offer letter if they accept you as a student and will then ask for payment of the Deposit/Fee (normally about £5000 or less depending on the course).
Note that all Visa Applications now need to show an English language qualification equivalent to at least IELTS level 3.5 to 4.5, as announced by UKBA on 17 February 2010.
EU, Swiss, Norwegian and Icelandic students do not need a visa. Other students need a General Student Visa. You can find out more about Visas on the UK border Agency (UKBA) website (the link on our Homepage). We also have UK Student Visa Information, just Click the Link below.
When your deposit/fee is received, you will be sent a CAS Visa Letter confirming your acceptance at the college for the Visa application AND a receipt invoice for your deposit payment.
You also need to show you have enough money for your accommodation (for the whole time you stay in the UK), for your Visa application. UKBA specify £600 pounds per month, so you need to show you have over £5400 for a nine month stay.
If you would like some help with your Application, contact us and we can help you.
Accommodation details are normally sent to you before your course starts. We normally arrange the accommodation for you so you have somewhere to live when you arrive. You can stay with a Host Family
(if under 18 years old) OR you can stay in House or college Student Residence accommodation (if over 18). You will pay for the accommodation before you arrive. See 'Accommodation' for details.
Once you have registered, cancellation (according to Terms/Conditions) is subject to the Administration fee, so you get the whole of your deposit returned, but not the Administration fee.

Things to Do- you can go shopping in the many little and big shops and shopping centres, as well as the Markets, like the one in the centre of town.
There are also many cafes, tea shops and coffee shops.
There is also Punting, going in a boat on the River Cam that you have to push along with a long pole. Its a great way to see the town centre too.
Cambridge is an ancient place, going back to before Roman times (more than 2000 years). The Romans had fortifications on the hill and some settlements around the area. Later it was a famous medieval centre of trade and learning. Cambridge itself is named after the 'bridge over the river Cam'. There are many such bridges in Cambridge now, the most famous being the 'Mathematical' bridge, in Queens college. It was said to have been built by Isaac Newton, without any nails!
The university dates back 800 years, the first students coming here in 1209. Many of the colleges are very old and have even older origins, usually church organisations on church land that was taken away from them by Henry VIII. They are beautiful and well worth visiting.
The biggest and most famous are;
Kings College, St.John's College, Trinity College and Queens College. These are all near to each other and can be seen along the centre of town between the old Round Church and Kings Parade. Or go along the 'Backs' to see them next to the river. There are many other colleges too. There are also many museums, including the large Fitzwilliam museum.
