What is the goal of Run 4 Rusty?

The Run 4 Rusty 5k fundraiser is meant to serve as a great community event that will benefit an even greater cause. Mr. Adam Schultz, a phenomenal Chesterton High School teacher, is also the father of a lively 4 ½ year old boy named Rusty. Rusty was recently diagnosed with a serious brain tumor, specifically known as pineoblastoma. All proceeds of the Run 4 Rusty 5k would go to the Schultz family for medical bills, travel costs, and other necessary expenses. As well as promoting health throughout the community through this exercise-oriented event, the health of Rusty would be a central theme. We would like to prove that even though Chesterton has the reputation of being “a small town”, it sure does have a huge sense of community.
