Get Connected
Getting plugged into a connect group is one of the richest expeiences of church life.
Connect Groups are made up of like minded people who have similar interests.
Every week we have Connect Groups that meet accross the city in cafes, homes, parks...almost anywhere!
Connect Groups are all about making friends and building relationships.
If you would like to be involved please call the church
07 49 53 00 42
Connect Groups provide an opportunity outside of our church services for people to get together, chat, laugh and encourage each other. They can meet all times of the day, all through the week, in many different locations - cafes, homes, workplaces, schools, universities, parks and retirement villages...any place where people can get together. It's all about making friends, building relationships and encouraging each other.
We would love for you to come to a connect group facilitator's meeting to find out how you could be involved in C3 Connect Groups. We believe you could facilitate a Connect Group whether it's once a week or fortnightly - whatever suits you best. Facilitating a Connect Group is rewarding, easy and fun.

CONNECT GROUP FACILITATOR NOTES.docx
We want more and more people involved in C3 Church Mackay.
Becoming a part of our Service Team, helps make Sundays shine with God's love, by being a real part of the ministry.
Our very own Senior Pastor John Gilbank says that (as a 27yr old plumber) if it wasn't for the Door Greeters being friendly he would not have stayed for the service the night he first came to church.
COMMUNITY is our missions programs.
Here at C3 Church we aim to reach communities all around the world and right here in Mackay with support and training.
Every year we send teams to the Philippines to encourage local Pastors and churchs. We support them in training and financial support. Such as holding an annual pastor's conference to purchaseing air-conditioners and glass windows for the local school, a new boat, a new motorcycle and fishing reels to name a few.
If you would like to support you can by giving online to:

BEYOND - Mercy - Grace - Justice
Beyond Vision
BEYOND is C3 Church ‘loving in action’ people in Australia and overseas.
Through a number of ministries, BEYOND takes us past church walls into our 20/20 communities to heal, restore dignity and empower lives.
At C3 Church we believe we are blessed to be a blessing - We freely receive and we freely give because our concerns are for the needs of others, as much as our own. This year, we’re increasing our resources to go beyond where we’ve been before, to make a massive difference.
Let’s lift up our eyes and think BEYOND.
Every year we jointly commit to the task of resourcing the vision that God has given us. When we work together in unity we can build something that enables God to reach the world and be reconciled to Him. We are convinced that giving to God through Vision Builders secures a strong and exciting future for our church.
How you can be a part of Vision Builders?
Choose your method of fulfillment.
Regular payment: This is one of the most successful ways to fulfil your commitment by making a regular weekly or monthly contribution. Regular giving is rewarding and quickily builds as illustrated in the table below.

Q / What is the Vision Builders program?
A / The Vision Builders Program is the overarching banner for our Rise & Build and Beyond initiatives. Vision Builders is responsible for raising the finance needed to facilitate all of these areas of our Church life.
Q / Can I give to Vision Builders instead of Tithing?
A / Vision Builders giving should be seen as giving "over and above" the tithe.
Q / What if I can't fulfil my pledge?
A / Firstly, we encourage people to make realistic pledges.
Having done that, we understand that sometimes unexpected events happen for whatever reason people find difficulty in fulfilling their pledge within the timeframe. We suggest that you may still want to fulfil your pledge by breaking it down into smaller amounts over a longer period of time.
Q / I am in significant debt, should I pay off my debts or give to Vision Builders?
A / If you are in "out of control debt", after your tithe the debt should be your next priority. Reducing the debt to a manageable amount (or even clearing it completely) should be attempted as you also make manageable gift to Vision Builders. Remember no amount is insignificant.
Q / Do you need my details? I wish to remain anonymous.
A / You may remain anonymous if you wish, and all details of your giving be kept confidential.
Q / How do we know where the money goes?
A / Funds are spent in accordance with the initiatives presented in the Vision Builders brochure and as updated during the year.
Q / I am only new to church, should I be giving to Vision Builders? If so, why?
A / There is no pressure for anyone, new or old to give to Vision Builders, nor is there any minimum requirement. New people who would like to give are most welcome, as is anyone who resonates with the vision we have for The Church.
Q / How should I determine how much I give to Vision Builders?
A / A combination of wisdom, prayer and faith should be used in determining how much to give. Proverbs 24:3 (TLB) says, "Any enterprise is built by wise planning, becomes strong through common sense, and profits wonderfully by keeping abreast of the facts." If in doubt, please seek counsel from your pastor.
During active service in Vietnam, Australian war veteran Peter Loosmore remembers saying, "God, if you're real PLEASE look after me!"
10 years after returning home safe, Peter was challenged by the words, "Go and tell the world the Good News."
Discover the truth that God loves you and has a plan and purpose for your life.
Experience miracles, healing and forgiveness as you hear the story Peter has told so many times around the world.
Currently C3 Church assist Mackay State High Schools Chaplain Phil Hall.
ABOUT THE CHAPLAIN: Phil is married and has a teenage daughter. He is a motor mechanic by trade but since giving that all up in 1999 has become the longest serving school chaplain in the Mackay district. Phil has a heart for seeing young people reach their full potential which sustains him in his everyday work.
He has also birthed "Camp Eagle" which through his vision has grown from just a patch of dirt to now having a semi-perminant camp kitchen, permanent tents and the shortly to be completed toilet and showering blocks. Camp Eagle is seeing hundreds of kids through it's gates every year. Those who attend Camp Eagle have a great time of adventure, messy days, camp fires, bush walking, swimming and also for many introduced to Christianity for the first time; last year over 120 Bibles were given to campers.
SCHOOL VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:
Every Thursday morning we run the breakfast from 7:45am - 8:45am.
Also we are involved in running the "Strength" program which is now in it's second term and is highly supported by staff at the school. Strength is aimed at giving young men life skills to live their best life. With Strengths core values being: Strength, Purpose and Significance.

We annually make trips to the Philippines to encourage and support local pastors in remote villages.
We do everything from buying motor bike and canoes for transport, renovating local school classrooms to supplying fishing equipment for fishing. We also sponsor students so they have enough finances to complete college/university. We have paid for life saving operations to reconstructive surgery on a little girl's badly broken arm.
In short we want to love the local people through empowering the local church to grow strong in their relationship with God so that they can sustain the work that needs to be done in their communities.
In 2010 a delegation of our Senior Pastors John Gilbank & Peter Loosmore formed a relationship with a man named Ezung from India who was doing mission work in the Philippines. We have since toured with Ezung in his home land of NAGALAND Nth East India and are supporting him in planting churches through out that area.
In August 2011 Ps. Ezung will celebrate their one year anniversary of becoming a part of C3 Church.

International Speaker to men.
MAYORAL BREAKFAST Suicide Prevention GUEST SPEAKER: Glen Gerreyn // DATE: FRIDAY 30th September // VENUE: MECC // TICKETS: 49 985913
Glen Gerreyn a QLD representative sprinter was set for a promising career in athletics with a dream of going to the 2000 Olympics, when his life took a dramatic turn for the worst and at 18 he was diagnosed with the incurable disease Ulcerative Colitis. Glen had two choices: to perpetuate an existence, or choose to fight back & have a life. Glen chose the latter.
With the $2 he had left from his disability pension, Glen pursued one of his dreams of starting a Youth Centre in his hometown. This city at the time had very little to keep young people entertained and out of trouble. Through sponsorship and fundraising Glen developed a fully functional venue, known as the X-treme Youth and Community Centre.
The X-treme Youth and Community Centre had 800 members and its facilities included: a fully equipped gymnasium; a motivational training room where body building and personal development programs were conducted; a training centre for boxing, Tae Kwon Do and wrestling; a full size basketball court; billiard tables; an internet café; games arcade and much more. Glen ran community youth events and dance parties at this centre, and attracted up to 3500 young people at any one event.
As this venture developed Glen decided to commit himself to excellence in community development and empowering young people to reach their full potential. Surplus funds from the Community Centre enabled Glen to initiate an Emergency Food Relief Program that to date has distributed 20,000 food parcels to needy families in the Redcliffe area. Glen has been well recognised for his efforts:
• 1998 Young Australian of the Year Queensland Community Service
• 1999 Young Australian of the Year National Finalist
• 1999 Queens Trust Young Achiever Award
• 1999 Redcliffe Young Citizen of the Year
• 1999 Quest Business Achiever
With his continued success with the X-treme Youth and Community Centre and an increased community profile, he commenced a full-time career as a motivational speaker and peak performance coach in high schools. Having learnt to lift himself out of difficult situations, Glen began to inspire a generation that often experiences a sense of hopelessness to hope against all odds. The momentum that developed in the high school seminars prompted his move to Sydney in order to expand and reshape his organisation.
In 2004 Glen founded Oxygen Factory, a company that exists to inspire and breathe hope into the souls of our nation’s young people. Oxygen Factory changes lives by bringing a message of hope via seminars and resources for high school students, parents, and teachers. Oxygen Factory is fast becoming Australia’s finest provider of personal development, motivation, leadership and values training.
As a highly sought after youth communicator Glen speaks to more than 100,000 people each year throughout Australasia including his birthplace – Sri Lanka. Glen is invited to speak to schools, community groups, youth conferences and businesses to offer education, excellence and empowerment.
Glen Gerreyn speaks with passion and power and has the gift of encoding today’s data into tomorrow’s dialect. The delivery of his messages leaves one inspired, motivated and transformed. He has his crosshairs focused on provoking thought, knowledge and action as he delivers a compelling message that liberates souls.
Glen lives in Sydney and rolls three deep with his wife Belinda and daughters Grace and Eden.
My wife, Rose and our 3 sons are local Mackay people, born and bred in this great part of Sunny and sometimes wet North Queensland. With 3 married sons and 4 grandsons all attending C3 Church we have a deep understanding and conviction of the importance of the family unit.
In 1988 after being a part of an independant ministry that burnt brightly in Australia and Mackay but then through circumstance flickered down, from a church of some 300 to a faithful remnant of about 30 people. Rose and I inherited the congregation of which we had been associate ministers of and began to rebuild.
We saught accountability and a covering as we were at the time an independant church, so after much prayer we joined with the Christian City Church (now C3 Church) movement.
Partner with us as we step out in faith to save lost people and build the church of Jesus Christ. As God's people give in faith, sacrifice and commitment, the blessing of Heaven rains down on the church.
