What is Burlesque What is Burlesque?
Teasing and titilating, tempting and theatrical, Burlesque is a captivating and highly entertaining form of performance that captures, ensnares and entrances...
Since the early 1840's, the art form known as Burlesque has undergone many a transformation. Originally a theatrical and comedic form of political and social satire, it has shifted and changed to encapsulate all aspects of parody and tease...utilising the female (and sometimes male) form as a tool for artistic expression and communication. Incorporating elements of strip-tease, song, dance, comedy and tragedy, Burlesque is everything and anything...a sensual exploration of liberation and freedom where the fourth wall of theatre is broken down to include the audience as an integral part of the show.
Celebrating beauty in all its forms, Burlesque performers come from all walks of life...varied cultures, varied shapes, varied sizes...and they bring with them their own individual skills and views on the world...using these to weave their intoxicating webs upon the stage.
Each act is unique, each performer shares a piece of him or herself with the audience as they take them on a sometimes funny, sometimes sad, always beautiful and highly entertaining ride.

Hens Packages Burlesque Bar Hen's Experiences
At Burlesque Bar we understand what a stress planning your best friends Hens/ Bachelorette party can be. We have been running top class hens and Bachelorette parties for nearly 4 years and now we are taking it to the next level. We are now offering the full service. We know what you ladies want and how to take the pain and hard work out of it!
With our new exciting range of Hens Workshops and Functions we have something to suit every taste and budget. We can also tailor sessions to your needs, with plenty of optional extras.
1.Burlesque Hens Workshop (2 hour session, $50 per head)
Learn the Art of The Tease with one of our resident Burlesque Instructors! Your 2 hour session includes:
•Exclusive 2 hour use of the space for your group
•A glass of bubbles each on arrival
•A gift for the Bride-To-Be to keep
•A 1 hour Beginners Burlesque Workshop where you learn a little about the history of burlesque, and a simple routine including key burlesque moves and use of props
•Time before and after the workshop for mingling or hens games.
•Note: Workshop is for a minimum of 12 and maximum of 30 participants.
2.Cocktail Making Class (2 hour session, $65 per head)
Learn the Art of The Cocktail with one of our talented Bar Artistes! Your 2 hour session includes:
•Exclusive 2 hour use of the space for your group
•A gift for the Bride-To-Be to keep
•Complimentary canapes
•A 1.5 hour Cocktail Making Class where you can learn to make 2 of your favourite cocktails
•Note: Workshop is for a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 12 participants.
3.Burlesque Hens Soiree (2 hour session, $80 per head)
Kick back and prepare to be entertained! Your 2 hour session includes:
•Exclusive 2 hour use of the space for your group
•Complimentary bubbles and soft drink throughout the session
•Complimentary canapes
•A gift for the Bride-To-Be to keep
•2 x Burlesque performances from one of our resident starlets or workshop
•Our friendly staff will arrange and run hens games for your group
•Note: The Soiree is for a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 25 participants.
4.Deluxe Hens Package (4 hour session, $150 per head)
With this deluxe package, we will take care of your every need! Your 4 hour session includes:
•Exclusive 4 hour use of the space for your group
•Complimentary bubbles and soft drink throughout the session
•Complimentary canapes
•A gift for the Bride-To-Be to keep
•A 1 hour Beginners Burlesque Workshop where you learn a little about the history of burlesque, and a simple routine including key burlesque moves and use of props
•False eyelash provision and application for each participant
•Our friendly staff will arrange and run hens games for your group
•Photo souvenirs
•A topless 'Man-Servant' for 2 hours of your session
•Note: The deluxe pack is for a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 30 participants.

**SHOW DISCOUNT** With all hens workshop bookings, we also offer discounts should you wish to stay for a burlesque show ($5 discount per person) - please enquire with staff re: ticket availability.
Should you wish, we can also arrange Free VIP entry to Eve Nightclub in South Melbourne.
Terms and Conditions:
• Confirmation of booking is subject to a $200 non-refundable deposit, payable in advance in person or via credit card over the phone.
• Payment in full (for workshop) is required 3 working days prior to your event. Non-payment by this date may result in cancellation of your booking.
• Show tickets must be pre-purchased in full and are pending availability.
• Please note that guest numbers, canape orders and any other requirements MUST be confirmed within 3 working days of your event.
By paying the deposit, you agree to the terms and conditions as listed above.

Watch in wonder as a Burlesque Beauty struts her stuff on the Burlesque Bar stage, then join our resident artist and new host Sarah Pemberton in a life drawing class with a difference!
Every Thursday night from 8pm, 'Drawing Straws' will bring out your inner artist.
Come share a drink and let your imagination run wild!
$15 per person. Classes start _ 8pm.

Come and spend an afternoon in delectable decadence as the Burly-crew cater to your every indulgent need.
Upon arrival you will be greeted with a champagne by one of our resident Burlesque Beauties and our friendly staff, before you are whisked upstairs for a complete burly-makeover!
Then, our styling crew will help you select your outfit of choice for your very own Pin-Up Photoshoot.

Join us for an evening of wickedly entertaining women, featuring a host of live burlesque, cabaret, comedy and circus artists performing on the upper deck of the beautiful Lady Cutler. Enjoy our large covered outside decks and take in the stunning views of Melbourne by night from the water.
On-board our charming Host and DJ will ensure your every need is catered to, making your hens, birthday, anniversary girls night or dress-up-and-dance party a the envy of all your friends!
