We are pleased to announce that SECME, a national program to encourage students to enter the fields of math, science, and technology will be sponsoring an after school science club at our school. This program also sponsors at the middle and high school levels allowing our students to grow with SECME if they choose. Regional competition between schools is part of the program. Contests like banner competition, poster competition, science “brain” bowl, math competition, spelling competition, Mouse Trap Car and Egg Drop contest will be part of our program activities. Our local support comes from The University of Florida’s College of Engineering. We will be preparing for competition through various activities throughout the year.
