Barbara Tiffany
biography
Barbara Tiffany is a contemporary painter who was raised in Sanford, Florida and has a life long love of art and nature. She began her career as a Graphic Designer but always found time to draw and began exhibiting in outdoor art festivals in 1981.
In 1986, she began studing oil painting with Maury Hurt, one of Central Florida's most revered artists. Maury spurred her artistic fascination with the qualities and power of light.
She strives to represent the essence of an object whether she's painting a still life, landscape, portrait or simple reflections on water. Her goal is to compel the viewer to notice features which they might not have otherwise noticed.
