What forms of payment do you accept?
Payment is accepted online at the time you make your order. Simply visit the Order Form page and fill out the requested information in order to make your payment. We also accept money orders and cashier checks. Payment should be sent in with your item. Any item sent in without payment or if payment is returned by bank, you will receive an email to update you on the status of payment.If payment is not received within 10 days, we will keep the item and resell it.

What areas do you serve?
Currently we can hold craft parties throughout the greater Chicagoland area. Parties in other areas of the country are scheduled periodically and if you are looking for an updated scheduled, get added to our mailing list to receive updates on where we will be. If you are out of the Chicagoland area and would like to host a craft party, let us know and we may be able to schedule dates in your neighborhood.
Who can attend a craft party?
We hold craft parties for those aged 8 and over and anyone can attend. We cap our parties at 10 to ensure we have enough materials and room for everyone to work.
What are the fees involved?
Craft parties include all materials and the time of an expert crafter. Fees range from $20 to $80 per person and depends on the project and materials needed. Most projects are around $30 per person, but exact fees will be determined once you schedule your date and party details are specified.
I live in a small space, can I still host a craft party?
We are looking at commercial locations to host larger craft parties at this time. If you would like to schedule a party, but don't have the space. Send us an email and we can let you know if we can offer the space for you. You just bring the people and we supply the rest.
"REMIX"ed Items FAQ's
Is shipping included in the purchase price?
Shipping to us is separate from the stated price and is determined by item type and distance shipped. Shipping to us is paid by you. However, you will never have to pay for return shipping as this cost IS included in the purchase price of the item.
What if I do not know what I want?
Select the choice "Suprise Me". Simply check whether the item is for a man, woman, child or adult and we will do our best to "Surprise" you. Be mindful, the item you receive will probably not be in the same category that you send in, but we hope you enjoy it all the same.
Do you repurpose other items besides clothing?
We will attempt anything, but if it is a really big or odd item, send us a picture first. We will review our options and tell you what we can do. Be mindful that the item you send must be able to be sent via regular mail service.
How long will it take for me to receive my item back?
Return time ranges on the amount of projects we have and the type of item you send in. Our goal is to get items back to our customers within 30 days. When specials are available the time to have items returned is 10 to 15 days. However, if we find that we are approaching the 30 day mark with your item, we will send you an update. Feel free to email us at anytime to find out the status of your project.
What is the benefit of repurposing?
Repurposing is much different from alterations, which only changes the size of items. Repurposing allows you to get extended use out of many of your clothing and household items. With almost everything going green, this allows you to get new items with no impact on the environment. Additionally, you may have items that have special purpose in your life that can be "revived" into a momento to pass down to others.
If I do not own anything that I want to repurpose, can I still purchase something from you?
Yes! We offer previously made items through our etsy.com page. Please visit www.etsy.com/shop/remixboutique to search items that are immediately available for purchase.
Can I choose the style of clothing I want in return?
Due to time constraints, most items do not have a choice of style. However, where choice exists, we will offer it to you.
Once I send in my clothing, can I get it back in the same condition?
Once you send in an item for repurposing, there is no guarantee that the item can be returned to you in the same condition. We work very quickly to turn around items that we receive and begin working once we receive the item. If you need something returned for any reason, contact us via email and we will let you know if it is possible.
What is the Return Policy?
All sales are final. If you are unhappy with your item, you can send it back for a service credit that can be applied to a future item. Be mindful, however, that as time progresses the value of the service credit decreases. See chart below for terms.
Items returned in the 7 days or earlier = 50% service credit of price paid
Items returned in 8 to 14 days = 35% service credit of price paid
Items returned in 15 to 21 days = 25% service credit of price paid
Items returned in 22 to 30 days = 10% service credit of price paid
Items returned after 31 days = no service credit allowed
