Home -
Welcome to my site. I have a lot of stuff here!
First is the contact tab, use it to send me messages that I can respond to. Read my bio, watch a couple videos, when the songs are finished I'll post them in the Music section. The People tab is a page of "Thank You's" to everyone who is making this dream of mine possible.
The Best Friend tab is a special letter to my best friend of course. Thank you all for all the support you've shown me in e-mails and such. It really helps me to know that I'm not crazy! Haha.
With Love,
Broc.
Removal -
The contact box has been removed for a temporary amount of time, due to issues with one cyber-bully.
Currently all comments, messages, and e-mails that were saved are being taken to the Oklahoma County Police Department in a harrassment case.
Just so all of you know, and can become more aware in your own online harrassment issues, harrassment that is warned (i.e. sending a "leave me alone" message, blocking said user) and continued is punishable by law in the state of Oklahoma.
All accounts are on watch now, so any harrassment by said user will be logged. It's a shame, that people can't live the way they want without random online bullies getting in the way.

My story, Love B.
(Click the arrows to flip through the pages.)
I'm Broc Simon (obviously.) I'm a singer/songwriter. And after this page will be my story. (Short but about my life.)
I live in Oklahoma city, and music is my life. I know how cliche that is to say because every musician says it. I'm pretty simple to please, give me a Dr. Pepper, and some music, and I'll be content.
So many people didn't believe that I was really doing this, and I can't wait for the songs to come out so that I can show them that I really am going to be someone someday, and I'm going to work my ass off to get it.
The first few songs will be released this next week. So check back next week to hear! You'll love them. (As long as you love pop/dance music.)
I think I realized how bad I wanted to sing, and be a performer, when I was about 8. Country music was my favorite back then, and my favorite singer was (and is) Shania Twain.
I would put a tape in the casette player, and close my door, dancing, singing, just imagining the crowd and the people singing along and loving every minute of it.
From then on I always talked about wanting to be a singer. Though my stagefright would take over anytime someone would ask me to sing for them. (A problem that still burdens me to this day.)
Eventually I moved on to love pop music, dance music, being a remix fanatic. Britney, Shakira, Madonna, Cher, the like.
One day I got the courage to start recording covers of people's songs and posting them to see if people would react badly. To my surprise most people really liked them. I got a lot of constructive criticism as well being that it was about two years ago and my voice was still a little untrained.
Over the past two years I've really worked hard on training my vocals and learning my boundaries. Everyone has a signature voice, I would say that mine now sounds like a mix of Shakira and Britney. Haha. I also get a lot of influence from middle-eastern singers like Haifa Wehbe and Myriam Faris, because I'm American/Lebanese. (There will be a few lebanese songs on the new album Lost in Translation.)
One of the goals of having these songs is to be able to have proof that I can sing without having to sing in front of people. It could be a cure from stagefright whenever I try to sing for people. (Many people say.)
I realize that I won't please everyone, and there will be people who don't like it. It's still something I struggle with because I still feel broken everytime I get a negative comment about them. I'm only 17 so this is growth for me. I know that one day I'll be over it.
This is all a journey. A new experience that I'm so thankful for. I hope that one day you all see me on tv, dancing around on stage with a song that went platinum. Being interviewed and telling them about all of you who have made this so beautiful. All of your encouraging words stick in my head during this process. Thank you so much.
