Chartered in 1958 with 31 members, now 115 members and still growing. The club elected to raise funds for their sponsored charities by conducting "Las Vegas Style Casino Parties" as entertainment for businesses and associations in the Indianapolis area. The club has raised over $2,000,000.00.
The club members meet for lunch every Wednesday at a north side restaurant. Programs are provided by interesting and carefully selected speakers. The entire luncheon is limited to one hour from Noon to 1:00 PM. Contact our membership people for an invitation.

Sponsored charities are major organizations in the Indianapolis area, selected by the clubs Board of Directors to receive funds. The donations support their programs for persons needing medical care, training or some other form of assistance.

Surgery and therapy for persons with severe facial and cranial birth defects. Club has provided financial support to provide advanced imaging and graphics for planning surgery and education of parents in how the surgery will be performed and the anticipated results.
National Heritage
Annual "What Freedom Means To Me" contest for 6th graders. Winners receive U.S. Savings Bonds, and the teachers receive cash awards.

Sertoma International was founded April 11, 1912 in Kansas City, KS by two doctors and the publisher of the local newspaper. The international organization has established clubs throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico. Currently, there are over 800 clubs. Existing clubs are responsible for starting new clubs in their region.
Sertoma International is lead by the Board of Directors selected from other local clubs. They generate funding for charities through "Speech and Hearing" and "Sertoma Foundation".
Locally, each club determines their own sponsorships and methods of fund raising.
There are annual national, regional, and district conventions. Individual club sizes run from 10 to almost 200 members.
The name Sertoma was selected in 1950 as a contraction of SERvice TO MAnkind.

The club owns over 47 pieces of casino equipment. Only chips provided by the club may be used. Uniformed volunteer members operate all games. Parties are run continuously for the time agreed upon. All equipment is delivered, setup and removed by the club. NO MONEY may be waged during the games.

Game Rules:
The "Pit Boss" assigned to a party works directly with the Clients representative, in managing each party. House rules are reviewed with the client before the games. Dealers are available to teach games to players.
The club will furnish a written contract. The client and the club manager must sign it. Copies are provided.
