SOS Computing Ltd. Is wholly owned and run by the Company Manager, Sandy Bryson. With over 10 years experience, since the company's founding, Sandy has dealt with every client; building relationships with many of those he has dealt with. Providing technical support to many primary schools in proximity to Cirencesterand Stroud, his experience proves invaluable when educating the home user of computer maintenance and repair.

This page contains a list of the services offered by SOS Computing. If you would like to enquire whether or not we can be of service, please do not hesitate to contact us using the information provided on the "Contact Us" page.

What To Do Before We Arrive
Where possible, please do the following before the appointment, in order to help the engineer work quickly and efficiently (saving you money!) :
* Have the computer switched on - This will allow the engineer to start work straight away, without having to wait for the computer to boot up.
* Have any installation discs ready - Such as recovery discs, drivers discs or installation discs for your software (e.g. Microsoft Office).
* Have any product licenses, keys and activation codes ready - In case theres the need to reinstall any software, these activation codes maybe required.
* Think of any usernames and passwords used - Such as passwords for your windows user accounts, internet accounts or email accounts.
* Backup your important data - whilst we make every effort to ensure your personal data is safe, we highly recommend you backup your data prior to the appointment. The engineer may be able to provide data storage options where required, it is the customers responsibility to ask for this.
Area of Service
In order to qualify the SOS promise of no call-out charge, home users must live within 8 miles of our office (shown in the map to the right). We are happy to help those outside this area, although a call-out charge will be added - currently 50p per mile. You will be advised of any call-out charge prior to our visit. T's & C's apply.

Payment Options
The easiest choice, many prefer to pay directly by cash or cheque to the technician after repair has been completed.
If paying by cheque sent at a later date, please make cheques payable to "SOS Computing Ltd" and send to the registered adddress at the bottom of the page.
Please do NOT send any cash through the post.

Pricing Details
30 Day Guarantee
All completed computer repairs are covered by a 30-day labour only warranty, commencing from the date on the original invoice. If the original problem occurs within 30 days, the technician will come back and fix it free of charge. Excludes computer faults caused by software, virus and end user errors.
No Fix - No Fee
SOS Computing offer a "no-fix-no-fee" policy on all computer repairs.
If a problem cannot be fixed or diagnosed, you won't be charged.

No Call-out Charge
We do not charge a call out fee to home users within 8 miles of our premises.
Callout fees include mileage to and from the customer's premises.
You will be informed of any callout fees before we arrive.
- Computer repair charges are estimated before a repair is carried out.
- To do this, time is spent to complete a diagnosis of the problem.
The diagnostic fee is £20.
- If you decide to go ahead with the repair, the diagnostic fee will be waivered.
- Repair charges are typically £25 per hr, although vary depending on the severity and complexity of the problem/repair. Parts prices are discussed when required.
- Therefore charges are individually suited to each customer/repair, the reason behind a cost estimation prior to repair. Most jobs are completed within a few hours.
- Payment for Onsite and Offsite computer repair is taken once a repair is completed. Payment must be made promptly and within 14 days.
- Delinquent bills will be assessed a £15 charge if payment is not received within 14 days of the invoice issue date. If an amount remains delinquent 30 days after its issue date, an additional 15% penalty will be added for each month
of delinquency.
