Stone Ridge Orchard has been under the management and operation of Elizabeth Ryan since 2008. Elizabeth owns and operates Breezy Hill Orchard, a long time vender at Union Square Greenmarket in New York City, and is an active in the Hudson Valley sustainable agriculture community. Stone Ridge Orchard is part of a diversified business, which includes fruit production, a large bakery and cidermill operation, and egg production with outlets in direct retail and wholesale markets. Over the years Breezy Hill Orchard has been featured in countless publications, including Martha Stewart Living, Home and Garden, New York Magazine, Gourmet, and Food and Wine.

Featuring a variety of hard cider and calvados for tasting, freshly made pizza in our wood-fired oven from Provence, and workshops for those interested in making their own cider.

This orchard that we have lovingly stewarded since 2008 is for sale, and we would like to buy it! We are asking you to reach out to your friends and build the strongest Friends of Stone Ridge Orchard possible. Stay in touch and help us move forward to save the orchard.
Our plan for the orchard includes diversified production of fruit and produce in the most environmentally benign way possible. We are working with the community of local bee keepers to establish a bee conservancy. In addition, we plan to expand our school and educational activities. We envision broad public access to the orchard, and a connection to the Ulster County Rail Trail. Please help us!
Membership in the Friends of Stone Ridge Orchard is free, and only includes sending us a message or liking our Facebook page. However, we are establishing a fund to generate money that could go towards the acquisition of the orchard.
A contribution of $100 or more entitles you to a free bushel of McIntosh Eco Apples.
