After Class, an instrumental trio featuring hammered dulcimer, violin and classical guitar, offers a modern interpretation of tunes which originated in Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Many were written by blind Irish harpist, Turlough O'Carolan.
Tunes include Si Beag Si Mor, Planxty George Brabazon and Lord Inchiquin, as well as sets of Civil War, Celtic and other melodies which made their way from Wales and Ireland to Appalachia.
After Class is Rob Angus on hammered dulcimer, Mark Weldon on violin, and Brant Beene on guitar. Mark and Brant both add mandolin and other instruments.
