ABOUT BRADLEY STOKE NETBALL CLUBBradley Stoke Netball Club is a Bronze CAPS (Club Action Planning Scheme) accredited club. We have 40+ members and field 4 teams in the Avon & District Netball League, playing in division one, two, seven and eleven. We also participate in a number of local tournaments and play in the local Floodlit league and Summer League.We are currently unable to take new starters, as all squads are full for the 2011/12 season. If you would like to be notified when the club is open to new members please contact the club secretary. Please see contacts page for more details.We actively support the development of our members not just in their performance as a netballer but with skills such as umpiring and coaching. We also has an active social calendar, the highlights of which are the Christmas party, end of season dinner and annual trip to the Pontins Netball tournament in Brean Sands in May.Please feel free to browse through the club website. If you are a prospective player looking for a club to join and want further information please see our contacts page for who to get in touch with and how.TrainingTRAININGThe club is coached by Helen Newman & Amy Callaway and training takes place on a Wednesday evening from 7.30pm to 9.30pm at the Jubilee Centre, Savages Wood Road, Bradley Stoke. (Formally known as the blue hut)Training usually starts on the first Wednesday in August and continues whatever the weather, until May.Training sessions will usually consist of:Warm up - Fitness - Skills - Match Practice - Cool-downThere will be opportunities during the training session to have a drink so dont forget to bring yours along preferably a sports drink.Suitable clothing should be worn for training e.g. sports top, sweatshirt, tracksuit trousers, trainers and a waterproof! The All England Netball Association (AENA) also specifies that NO jewellery is to be worn and fingernails must be short and smooth.Directions to the Jubilee Centre, Savages Wood :From The M4 / M5 Interchange head towards Aztec West roundabout. (Signposted Filton / Patchway)At the roundabout turn left (1 st Exit) but once you have turned left, keep in the right hand lane to go through the traffic lights.At the next roundabout, turn right (4 th Exit). Continue on this road over the small painted roundabouts.At the next large roundabout turn right (3 rd Exit).
