As Student Accommodation it's ideal. Our home is close to Massey University Albany Campus. We are also a short walk or drive from the new Albany mall with many shops, resturants and movie theatres. We're also very close to a large bus depot where buses run regularly to and from downtown Auckland - and it only takes 20 mins to the centre of town.
We host up to 12 students in single fully furnished bedrooms. There are multiple living rooms, bathrooms and a large recreation areas outside - plenty of space for everyone. There's a swimming pool, table tennis, broadband Internet access, pool table, Sky TV and plenty of people to do fun things with. Our home is also next door to a school which has soccer fields and tennis courts we can use.
We all typically eat the main meal together with lots of laughter and plenty of great food. The fridge is always well stocked and dinner is a range of international dishes.
We would love to be your host parents while you stay in NZ, our names are Brian and Nikki Alley. We have 3 grown children - two married daughters and a son. We were host parents in Manila, Phillipines for over 10 years, so we are fully aware of the challenges of living overseas in another culture. We really seek to provide a safe and relaxing environment for you to study and integrate in NZ culture.
1. It's one of the best International Student Accommodation options. It's a great social environment, you won't feel isolated and lonely with a variety of students from other countries to talk to & people to practice English with.
2. Learn from outher cutures. We have hosted students from many countries and cultures. Students from Asia, Europe, the Middle East, the Pacific Islands and even from America and NZ.
3. English speaking environment. If English is not your first language, this is a great way to improve your English speaking skills by interacting with others of different nationalities.
4. Parental support and guidance. Many students are away from home for the first time, others simply feel the pressure of being overseas. We know what it's like to be away from home and family and live in a different culture. We are always there to listen, help with decision making and provide support and care with any issues you may have.
