The Boyne City Housing Commission (BCHC) administers federal and state funded rental assistance programs for low-income families, elderly, and disabled persons in the Charlevoix County, Michigan area.

complex, named after a
pioneer physician in the
Charlevoix County area,
offers 53 rental apartments
for low income elderly, ages
62 or older, and disabled
persons. Tenants must meet
current income guidelines
and be able to live
independently.

Litzenburger Place apartments include:
One bedroom Living/dining area Kitchen with appliances including self-cleaning oven and frost-free refrigerator Lots of closets for storage Large bathroom with either a bathtub or shower unit Rents are based on income. Approximately 30 percent of gross monthly income will be your monthly rent or a flat rent currently set at $595. Rents include all utilities except electric for some units. Two on-site laundry facilities are available. The apartment complex offers a large community room with a full kitchen that is available for tenant use at no charge. Amenities also include a library, resident computers, arts/crafts room, and sun porch with exercise equipment. For your safety, a security camera system in all corridors. Deer Meadows Deer Meadows*

Two bedrooms Living/dining area A spacious kitchen with brand name appliances including a self-cleaning oven, frost-free refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher Barrier-free bathroom with bathtub/shower Lots of closet space for storage Utility closet with washer/dryer hookups Central air conditioning Rents are based on annual income and include all utilities. Our current rents are set at $482, $619 and $667 per month Deer Meadows amenities include:
On-site laundry facilities Laundry hook-ups in units Weekly trash removal (no charge) Two large community rooms that are available for tenant use at no charge All apartments have medical emergency pull cords linked directly to 911 For your safety, a security camera system placed in all corridors. Named after a pioneer physician in the Charlevoix County area, Conkle Development consists
of twenty-six rental homes.
The purpose of this program is to provide affordable rental
housing to qualified, low-
income families and enable
them to achieve economic
independence and self-
sufficiency. All homes are
located within the city of
Boyne City.
Family Based homes include:
Two or three bedrooms Living room Kitchen with dining area Frost-free refrigerator and self-cleaning oven Utility area with washer/dryer hook-ups A 5x10 storage shed Paved driveways and sidewalks Trash removal each week at no charge Many have fenced in backyards Centrally located fenced in playground Rents are based on income. Approximately 30 percent of gross household income is paid for monthly rent or a
flat rent of $553.00 for a two-bedroom unit and $795.00
for a three-bedroom unit. Tenants are responsible for
paying all utilities.
